Trade hypotheticals

On the topic of Crozier, I'd love to have him at the Dogs. Wanted him in the 2011 draft (obviously selected Clay Smith out of necessity) and saw a bit of him as a youngster, grew up in the same area.

Probably been covered, but what would people expect us to give up?

He had a terrific game on the weekend didn't he. Really impressed with his tackling. He certainly has shown that he is willing to work hard to develop himself and become a versatile player rather than a highlights reel.

Unless there is a KPF in a deal in some way then I think Fremantle will be building an arsenal of fast, versatile players who can hit the scoreboard, and Crozier is exactly that.

Yeah, it was fantastic to watch. Has always had that X factor, and his work rate wasn't missing, but he just had to develop a bit more to stay in games.

If he can maintain that intensity (he's certainly in the right environment) and keep kicking goals, his stock will rise massively. :thumbsu:

Say we got frawley as a free agent, then one of our other key defenders need to to go, what would they be worth respectively?
Brown
Frost
Reid(unlikely)
Keefe

I would love Ben Reid, but he re-signed this year

Brown = late second/ early third

Frost = late first/ early second

Reid= second rounder

Keefe = third rounder.

If Reid wasn't injury prone, he would be worth an early first.

But to miss a whole year practically this year would worry me.
Well then I guess you can add beams rich swallow Mitchell hartlett Patton scharenberg o rouke plowman Zac smith Tom Nichols Luke hodge in second round category?.... Well personally I wouldn't say having one year off is injury prone and can decrease a players value from early first to second round pick like u suggested

I would definitely give up pick 19 + a player for Reid. Stick him at CHF for us, Carlisle, Hurley Hooker defence

Mason Shaw to Freo, from Port.
Shane Kersten to Freo, from Geelong.

Both players are valued around pick 30, so Freo will need to work out a trade to get an appropriate pick. They currently have about pick 18 and pick 36.

Would be happy to offer Griffin to either of these clubs or any other club to complete the deal along with 1-2 other players.

Would probably need both players to ask for a trade and as they are both out of contract we would have the upper hand.

Maybe Pick 18 to Port for Shaw and pick 32 (ish)

Then Pick 32 to Cats for Kersten.

Will take the best offer we can get for Griffin, but would be looking for an early 3rd rounder.

Would consider offers for C Pearce or de Boer, and would be looking for pick upgrade.

I know this is probably a pipe dream and we would only have half a chance if both players asked for a trade but given the improved playing time they would both have at Freo. The bids are probably slightly under true value, but if they asked for the trade it may be achievable. I ddon't think either player is worth pick 18 when you compare them to Crameri who went for pick 20.

Mason Shaw is contracted until the end of 2015
Also we are not going to trade Shaw for a pick upgrade.

Why would we draft a guy, pump three years of development into him just to trade him for a two pick upgrade?

Brown = late second/ early third

Frost = late first/ early second

Reid= second rounder
Ermm.... what?
Yeah, I'll just give a second rounder for Delidio yeah?
Reid=top 5 player at Collingwood. If you offered a 2nd rounder our recruiters would piss themselves laughing.

Nope. Kersto was a low 30's pick for us 3 years ago. We get him up and going and you want to give us low 30's for him.

Lots of potential there and most of the trades on here push potential pretty hard so you'd need to get our attention... lots more....

And Kersto wanted out of WA footy for the big smoke .....

Shoveling a lot up hill in this one..
And finally, you need a KPF. Why would we want to trade the one piece you need to a legit contender against us...

Not likley...
