Richmond simply haven't got the trade assests to get that trade done for O'Roueke, their first rounder isn't low enough to satisfy GWS, and they haven't got any desirable players they would be willing to trade with.

Doggies going to give up possibly the best prospect theyve had in 10 years for a guy who has just done his knee for a second time.

I mean dont get me wrong I think Patton could still be a good player, but heck I wouldnt be giving Stringer up for pretty much anything. Maybe Nat Fyfe...I'd probably trade Dangerfield for Stringer right now...

Would he be in the gun to be delisted? Are you likely to keep him if no trade was possible? I would like him for a 3/4th rounder.

I'm really not sure. At a guess though he'd be in the gun to be delisted. In saying that though I'd expect there will be enough interest in him for a trade to get done because he's too good and too young for a club not to take a punt.

At a guess either your 3rd rounder or an upgrade from our second to your second (something like Hunt and pick 36 for pick 28) would be around the mark. I'd expect some team to give up a pick in the 40s for him so I highly doubt your 4th rounder would be enough.

We've actually got a number of players in that bracket where they've shown enough to deserve a shot somewhere but they're likely to be under pressure to keep a spot on our list. Guys like Hunt, Brown, Walker, Schroder and Stringer would all fall into that category. I'd imagine we'll trade whoever we don't want to keep for whatever pick upgrades we can get.

Arguably Stringer is the most talented player on our list. Patton with 2 reco's isn't worth it. He along with Griffen, Libba, Macrae and Bontempelli are the 5 most untouchable players on our list. Could include Dahlhaus in that list also.

Yeah maybe but rate Macrae and Bontempelli above Stringer.They ddesperately need a quality tall and you will only get one for a decent/fair price. Patton is more likely to win a flag for them than Stringer

If you ask many dogs supporters myself included we feel as though Stringer will be the best of the lot. Hasn't had a decent preseason because of injury and also has the versitility to play anywhere. I'd throw in Griffen here as well but I think our top 3 picks in terms of gamebreakers in the last 10 years will be Bonts Stringer and Griffen. I wouldn't have traded Stringer for Patton two years ago and I'm even less inclined to do so now.

Bulldogs should definitely not trade Stringer. Some good young talls in this years draft you guys can have Watson who is kicking 3-4goals every week in VFL. Just give him the ball just outside 50 and he's like 75%+ chance to kick a goal. He's a good mark just needs to learn a few things.

Crap is a strong word. A youngster that requires match experience is more like it. Pity we cant loan players to other AFL clubs for a year -- he is not better than Waite. Waite is a top player - Henderson is a top player. Probably too slow and not reliable enough in defence but he is kicking plenty of goals every week in VFL so there is something to work with. Crap is a silly word for a youngster that has some talent...

Bulldogs have enough young quality mids they need a target man up forward and reliable key defender. They should meet Melbournes Frawley asking price because that will settle their defence.. trade 2nd round + one young gun mid for a key forward if they can find one.
