No point trading him unless he wants out, which he doesn't. Third tall defenders don't have massive currency, and are nearly always more valuable to the club than what you would get in return via trade. We are much better off keeping him as a solid 3rd tall defender or at the very worst a good depth/fringe player.

Big buddy sized gap in the cap, several stars getting on and would love a star midfielder in his prime to complement the squad.

Suckling has played every game he's been available for since rd1 2012.

All 25 games in 2012 and every game so far 2014. He will not be put up for trade.

We'd all like him but Hawthorn are:

in his home state
can offer immediate premiership potential opportunity
may have the cap space to get the deal done

It's not what I want to happen, can just seeing it being a possibility. Hawthorn has been very quiet with FA so far.

From what I understand Lynch hasn't signed a new contract (can any Adelaide posters confirm). I think it is safe to say we will re-sign him though. Will send you Lewis Johnston and McKernan.............

Hmmm, Stratton would be the main reason I'd want to do the deal. I rate him as probably the best medium defender in the comp.

Well Roughead to be fair is a gun, Shoey is a role player. Still think he could be anything as a 3rd tall up forward. He isn't a defender period.

We won't be trading Stratton unless it's a great offer. 4th in the BnF in a premiership year and although hasn't been as good this year (partly due to injuries), It would take a first rounder to even get us talking
