Trade hypotheticals

Clark is too old for the Saints. The club has said we wont be getting any free agents till 2016 because they are to old, so I don't see why we would want a 27 year old this year. He'll be nearly 31 in 2018 when the club aims for us to be contending again.

I'd be shocked if we were seriously considering him.

Essendon courting Clark is sign that Ryder has told them he is walking out on them i reckon

Sorry guys, just butting in on the Mitch Clark situation, with Mitch Clark it was reported that he retired though.

In 2009 Barry Hall "retired" from Sydney after round 11 was it? But moreso he just walked out on them with his aggression issues and that he wasn't enjoying his footy at the time. The Dogs therefore had to trade a 2nd rounder to get him to the Kennel (not sure if Bazza was still contracted at the time though).

As Clark is still on Melbourne's list and if he wants to play again next season elsewhere wouldn't it be in Melbourne's best interests to get something for him? Be it a 2nd or 3rd rounder or something. It is unfortunate the situation Clark's in and I hope he is on the right track to getting himself right but if he wants to come back next year to the club of his choice, surely Melbourne have to request some compensation.

Melbourne can trade him.

Buldogs, Carlton, Collingwood, Fremantle are the four clubs who are crying out for key forward. Would not surprise me at all if Collingwood picked him up, and they played Reid back all year.
Is Clark the true power KPF and hit up target we need ala Roughead, Hawkins, Boyd, etc.?

We need that type with Henderson our CHF who makes the forwardline tick with his gutrunning, skill and smarts. Doesn't burn it and have brain fades like Waite.

Ryder and Clark would be a better fit for Geelong and the Hawks who have Hawkins and Roughead.

Nah, they can both play for Essendon ;)

In that one season for Melbourne he was, if he stays fit then would be what Carlton need. I wouldn't have him ruck, I think he is too injury prone.

Wouldn't have to ruck @ Carlton with Levi being a competent second ruck & also Kreuz returning. Sounds a good fit potentially.

Pick 3 +Jacksh/O'Rourke I would think would be around the mark.

Here's where I might be one out. If the club went to Beams and asked him his intentions, and he said he'd like a trade. I would seriously consider that. I mean I'd like one of the Giants forwrads with Pick 3, but that's a good start.

Clark is on Melbournes list until 31st Oct.
You want him you need to do a deal with Melbourne

Clark will nominate who Demons have to deal with. After that its the PSD if Demons demand too much. Its not all bad 2 months ago they had no Clark no trade prospects. At least now they can get something I'm sure all parties will be reasonable.

NEVER EVER HAPPENING

All fans of other clubs erase this kid from your recruiting dreams and just marvel at his God given talents in charcoal and orange.

As untouchable as untouchable can be...as is Treloar.

Yeah 100% agree, if you think JC is a marquee player wait 2 years, this kid has everything.

I would do pick 3 and JOR for Beams, for sure, Jaksch plus 3 slightly overs for mine.

Awesome, we'll chase Cameron, Whitfield and Kelly then :)

You can try but most of the lads are pretty happy and want to stick fat and do something historic as brothers.

I know you're being facetious but ftr Whitfield and Kelly just re-signed and JC ain't going anywhere.

We'll lose some along the way but very confident the A grade guns will stay for the long haul!

I know I'm going off topic but I don't see how GWS can possibly keep all their young guns. In 3 years time they will all be demanding 500k+ per year and you are going to have to lose some. Your forward line alone will be upwards of 3million per year!

This is why we have been trading out of talent and into picks...... Spreading the cap
