All they're giving up is Clarke and getting 22 + Harwood/Lester in return. I reckon that's pretty good, all things considered

Yea Lester's girlfriend is Zorko's sister, so it might be a bit hard convincing him to leave Brisbane, but Harwood is even in value and is the better kick of the two.

Yeah Harwood's kicking and rebound from defence is something we really need. Like I said I'd be stoked with that trade. It gives us four picks inside the top 25 and a quality prospect in Harwood or Lester who would instantly be best 22.
If Collingwood are dicks, would you take Harwood/Lester for Clark? I.e. then we can add pick 22 to the Collingwood package?

Depends what other offers we get (from Geelong, Essendon, etc). I'd probably prefer the pick, given that we might have to use our second on Billy Stretch and I'd like to have a live pick in the twenties in case Lamb, McKenzie or Smith slide.

Bucks on the ABC today said Collingwood would only be interested in trading for players of similar stature, named Hanley..
I doubt Hanley would want to leave, his little brother has signed on to come to our club and he signed a 5 year deal he loves Brisbane so much.
Collingwood want a mature quality player - Mitch Clark is exactly that and fills their list need of getting more help for Cloke up forward. They also get a top 4 draft pick. Surely getting that is better than keeping a disgruntled Beams who will leave next year for less.
You have to laugh at the suggestion of trading Claye down to Collingwood to keep Dayne happy. What about the father? Isn't that why Dayne wants to get home
Now Collingwood want to move more family away from Dayne's dad. Crazy

I have no opinion on it, just passing on what I heard, he was quite dismissive of pick 4 and said they had enough youth, they wanted players of similar stature.
Bit of a cop out thing to say on pick 4 that you have enough youth. How can any club (bar GCS and GWS) have enough top end talent to say no to pick 4... crazy.

How about we meet in the middle, Collingwood trades with the Suns and Claye is traded from the Lions to keep the family together?

I thought the Lumumba/Clark swap rumour was fairly solid, if so Melbourne can only spend him once
I don't know but I'm sure they'd be interested in Beams.
Some tension in the bidding is always helpful.
Send our second rd pick or Lester/Harwood to Collingwood and HarryO to Melbourne? I.e. add Harry to the three way trade.
