Wow I'm a North fan and I don't think Greenwood is worth top 5. Was dropped at times last year.

AGAIN I REPEAT MYSELF. Picks are speculative and GREENWOOD is a ready made inside mid that will play 200 games for your club. He is ready to play tomorrow. You don't have to develop him or teach him how to win a clearance. Winning your own footy is key in todays footy.
People seem to throw around picks 5 or 6 or 7 as if they are gold. Your pick in the top 10 may end up being a dud. Greenwood has no ifs or buts about him. Would be 1st or 2nd best inside mid in 80% of teams. Get real people.

You are seriously overrating Greenwood. He has had one good year after 5 average years before hand. He's a B Grade midfielder and he is ranked 3rd in clearances at North. He would be the 1st or 2nd best inside mid in no teams.

I can admit Greenwood had a pretty good year and he'd be handy for us but this year was his only good year and he's uncontracted so therefore it lowers his value

He is as well rounded a midfielder as there is. No disrespect to some of those players on your list but you have mentioned some players that only play as inside types and some players that can't do a run with tag and he is only 23 and only now has realised his potential. Will only get better now that he is serious about his football. I will put it to Terry Wallace in tomorrows Draft Radio.

He's 25 and will be 26 by the start of next season. Most players that I listed can also play outside and/or tag. What makes you think he wasn't serious about his football before?

So with Mitch Clark signalling Geelong and the player formally known as Harry O declaring Melbourne as his preferred destination I thought I'd put forward the following trade scenario to get some deals done.

Geelong trade Mitch Brown & Taylor Hunt or Varcoe to Melbourne.

Melbourne trade Mitch Clark to Geelong.

Melbourne trade either Brown or Hunt or Both to Collingwood.

Collingwood trade Lumumba to Melbourne.

Now let the anger about me being a geelong supporter flow in, yes yes.

The thing is I can't see Geelong offer up a lot to get a deal done. Yes they need a forward but picking up a player/need who is injury prone is risky, no matter what the upside. Two years ago Geelong brought in McIntosh for a mid pick, he missed the whole first year, then ended up injured towards the back end of year two.

Clark brings the same level of risk-reward.
Yes Brown & Hunt are only fringe players but both have fitness levels and fill needs for Melbourne and potentially Collingwood.
Varcoe could potentially offer Collingwood a bit up forward but is getting on in age.
Otherwise Geelong offer a second round pick (33) or 3rd round pick (52) would probably be fair.

I've read that Melbourne is willing to part with pick 22 for Harry O, which to me seems too high, especially given Collingwood want to get rid of him.

Collingwood would prefer a pick for Lumumba for sure given Clark is now off the table, but pick 22 is just too high in my opinion.
