It depends. I rate Wright and McCartin as better and significantly so. Moore is worth 4 to 10 in my eyes. Of the clubs ahead of Collingwood, I expect Gold Coast to pick Laverde so it comes down to weather the Bulldogs or Carlton want to risk potentially having to pick Moore when Wright or McCartin might be available. I think one of the 2 will be available at 5 so expect the Bulldogs not to nominate Moore so you're pretty much left with relying on Carlton nominating him. Not exactly a given

Do you really think about the PR? If they don't think he's good enough they won't pick him, simple as that. They wouldn't care about what the media says if they didn't pick him

They may not listen to the media but they will listen to their membership. They will burn the joint down if he goes to carlton.

But thats not exactly the mindset of the clubs. They will nominate just because they know collingwood will take him. Im not sure Laverde will go that high but havnt been keeping upto date with it all. Collingwood will take him at 8

We had that exact same thing happen to us with Gunston when he walked and then demanded to be traded only to the Hawks. We got a pick in the mid 20s.

It happens to all Clubs at some stage.

He was 19 when he left Adelaide and kicked 19 goals in 12 games. Showed plenty for a player of his type at that age. Saying he wasn't any good at the Adelaide is laughable.

I very much doubt you'd get 16 back. More 12 for shaw. Which you may say is overs. But he's well regarded at port, I doubt they'd trade him.

We rate Taberner and have put 2 years into him. We wouldn't ask for pick 12 for him (if someone else to wanted him or we wanted to trade him)

And I doubt you would pay 12 for shaw. If you wanted him, you may get shaw + a pick for pick. 12. But i doubt it would be 16, more likely a 2nd round pick.

But hey, your suggestion did make sense. If you got it I reckon you'd be happy. Shaw will be a good player IMO. Developing nicely, Just waiting for some oppurtunities in a side that has a very good forward line.
