If he was contracted, hadnt nominated to go and Melbourne didn't have no 2 in psd, then yes.
But as it stands, in a trade to Melbourne, they really only need to do token trades

Not really. If he was he would have played for Carlton last season, regardless of Mick being stubborn and what not. Late 3rd/early 4th. Melbourne have an early 4th, that is fair. Their 3rd is tied to F/S

I cannot find the Kyle Hardingham thread but I have always been a fan. I know he is not that tall but neither is Firitto or McMahon - would our pick 74 get the job done for this player or perhaps straight swap for Liam Anthony? Grima has one year left, McMahon is only there for another year for injury cover but I would rather rotate Hardingham through with Grima, Mullet, etc and get him to play 10-15 games for another 15+ in 2016.

I have always liked Hardingham but he can be super frustrating.
Great athlete and fantastic spoiler when playing in defense but has shocking disposal.
Stupid argument. So Mitchell and Jaksch are worth 3rd and 4th round picks because they played in the reserves? I think Carlton will get a swap of picks somewhere, not much point in trading 4th round picks when very few are live picks.
Looks possible Carlton may give up their pick 7 for Jaksch and pick 19 (received from Hawthorn for JOR). So...

Based on the relative evenness and my love of complex trades...I've decided to extended this out and add in Lumumba, Varcoe, Clarke and Christensen, for a monster 5-way trade that is relatively fair. Probably needs some tweaking.
Collingwood gives: Beams, Lumumba and pick 30
Collingwood receives: Redden, Greenwood, Varcoe and pick 16
Brisbane gives: Redden and picks 5 and 25
Brisbane receives: Beams and Christensen
North gives: Greenwood and pick 16
North receives: picks 14 and 23
Geelong give: Varcoe, Christensen and pick 14
