The following likely to be gone:
Weller
Jolly
Toy
Rischitelli
Brown & Brennan trade bait
Caddy 50/50

Tippett likely

Make of it what you will nothing is certain because nothing is certain as yet.Have a source but can't reveal publicly. I don't post regularly but often have info I hold back due to the request for sources.

Welcome back Gov from your stalking around here ;)

Weller: undecided to be honest, he's a dime a dozen type player, never really had a break out game in 2 years but that doesnt really mean anything.
Jolly: gone
Toy: trade
Rischa: shocked, would like him to stay on.
Brown: I vaguely reading recently a week or so ago saying he'll probably see out his contract (next year) and then probably hang up the boots.
Brennan: undecided also
Caddy: I really really really want to stay, has had a stellar year and I always had quite lofty expectations and he hasn't been short of delivering.

what im hearing is fev to get a rookie contract at collingwood, cloke has taken a deal at adelaide and tippett is likely to go to the lions after its rumored they cut retzlaf and Brown is close to hanging up the boots.
so in saying that what I reckon the suns do is draft bigs not project players but proven stars at youth or senior level. trade brennen, jolly, hutchinson, toy. we could at least get a couple high picks with them

We have good talls, Gorringe, Dixon, Day, Lynch, Smith, Thompson, Schade...they aren't spuds, or picks in the 4th round.

The only thing we really need is probably an experienced forward, 25years or older in my opinion.

Fev - incredibly unlikely, has been denied constantly.
Cloke - not happening, going to Carlton
Tippett - we'll see. He's certainly going somewhere north.
Brennan - I don't see any clubs wanting him, sadly
Jolly, Hutchinson - wouldn't get you a pick that you'd use. Fourth round.
Toy. Will probably get you a second rounder

About right, I think fev could be a decent option as a 50k minimum wager for some clubs. No risk and will pay for himself through fans/sales. Perhaps Port/Collingwood?

I can confirm the above with the addition of Gorringe and Flannigan for Tippett.

Iva, you have inside sources now too? Where did you hear this?

From people at the club, look I am not trying to big note myself here and pretend that I have access the inner workings of our club, but 2 sources said almost the exact same thing so I felt it should be shared. Can they be 100% relied on who knows.

Time will tell.

Just my 2 cents worth...

Delist:
Krakouer
Fraser
Moss
Jolly
Hutchins

Trade bait:
Caddy - if to the Bombers another key defender such as a Hooker or Pears possibly in the trade.
Weller
Gorringe
Wilkinson
Toy- possible delist if another club is not interested
Nicholls - possible delist if another club is not interested

I certainly wouldn't put Caddy as trade bait. That would imply we would be willing to fish him around even if he wanted to stay? ;) If he wants to go though, I definitely think we should get the best deal we can. Can't see how it would involve the Bombers though, at least if we deal solely with them and no other club was involved.

The club has done everything it can with Caddy. Picked him on the ball nearly every game this season whether he was getting a kick or not, given him as much game time as physically possible, most likely offering $$$ well above his worth as a 2nd year player and he still hasn't signed... The kid is going back to Victoria, thus I class him as trade bait. We won't actively need to market him, the offers will come thick and fast from Monday morning.

Brent Moloney set to leave the Dees as a RFA. Allegedly there are six clubs interested, and he has stated he wouldn't mind moving interstate to get to the third club of his career. Both Port and Sydney confirmed their interest.

Think we would be interested? At 28, he would be a senior, big bodied onballer to help the kids for a year or two. Had a pretty bad 2012, but his 2011 was very impressive. Especially if we lose Rischitelli, and Brennan doesn't come back, he could slot right in I think as a hard inside midfielder. He won't get the most attention either, with Ablett, Swallow and Bennell running around.

Take it anyway you want. Be very careful who you bring into your group. GA from Geelong , with his work ethic , leadership has been worth every cent. It can work the other way as well. Not sure of your age but if your can remember the original setup of the Bears then you will know what im taling about.

I'd consider some lesser knows that are seasoned but greta club men and great examples to young men. Someone like Shannon Byrnes would fit the bill. Fantastic clubman. Two times Premiership player. (Free Agent so we wont get any trade benefit) Beemer has baggage so he may fit another club better than yours .

Just my opinion

Why has Toy struggled so much? Ive heard from some PEGS teammates of his that he had horrible stamina, and that on the km time trials they'd give him a head start and he would still come last. Great skills tho. is this your understanding?

From my understanding he's had a rotten run with injuries through his achilles. I'm not sure he completed any of the AFL pre-seasons, and when he finally has a decent run at it in matches, he has to sit out another few weeks.

His fitness has always been the issue, hence why he was the sub option.

To me Toy is a probable Josh Hunt. He may never be a big runner but he needs to work the weights big time , get strong , build up he 20 metre speed. Plenty of very good players have messed up their first club, but not too many get a third . Its why id be interested in him. Id prefer a trade for for Nicholls and Toy but im not sure we have someone that would suit you. Mitch Brown is a quality kid. Think Jermey Cameron. But even the two previously mentioned would not be enough.

This is just an opinion of where I think the list sits at the end of the 2012 season. There are really tough and horrible decisions for the club/coaches to make in the coming weeks.

All players give their heart and soul over a long time to make it at senior level. It is sad that players have to be moved on, but that is how the AFL works.

Caddy is probably unique in that he can control his own destiny as to whether to stay or go.

The other players on the list I believe could be traded if the right deal was offered. The club has to move on players, so it may be a better balance to trade players out instead of delisting them.

The delisted list are those I think are in the most danger.

If any of the kids want to return home, good riddance. However, we need to set a precedence and play hard ball with what we get in return. We need to get the best draft picks for those players, not trades for also rans like Brown, Harbrow, Brennan etc.
We have some really good talls so we should just load up on quality mids. You need 8-9 mids rotating through the middle these days. Ablett, Rischitelli, Swallow, Bennell, Prestia, O'Meara is a good start. Use the pick 2 and whatever we can get for Caddy to draft more mids.

Ran into Liam Patrick at the Gold Coast Show on Friday. Said he was playing with the Suns again next season. Was there with his misses and son, the kid was going crazy with my daughter on the bouncy castle. Bit of useless information ;)
