Don't want Dayle Garlett. I mean, he barracks for Hawthorn so he can't be too bad, but check this out

Strippers after hawks won, a few beers, some chicks to celebrate. Sounds like most posters here...

Clearly a bit of a dickhead, but it's all about balance on your list, the club would just have to make sure he is only a dickhead, and not someone who could end up going further down the slide (considering the support he would receive).

Just as importantly is his footy potential. From what I have heard he doesn't work very hard, doesn't have a burning desire to make it etc.

A bit like Damian cupido, lots of talent and not much else. Damian didn't make it.

hello we did have buddy in our team?!

good one

you'd have to be a ****en idiot to think a full healthy season from Chapman wouldn't be an absolute plus for any team. He's a champion.

Can't imagine Hawthorn chasing him though.

Calm down, it was a joke which you two obviously missed.

"How can we even be contemplating Chapman when Hawthorn have a "no dick-head" policy.

I thought the separation of dick and head might of made it easier to get what I was talking about. You know dick...head...bald head looks like a dick...........forget it *sigh*.

Continue flying off the handle.........

Somehow I think they will be offering us peanuts...........Essendon are pure filth when it comes to trades.
I don't know how true this is but some bloke rang up SEN and said essenscum have made 50% less trades than the average or some crap like that. They must be sh1t to deal with if that's the case.

They are like 90% of Bigfooty posters who rate their own players a lot higher than the rest of the public and no middle ground can be found.

EDIT: To clarify, I am frequently in that 90% as well.

I see.
I guess I'm not observant enough to pick up on the subtle hilarity.

What could Bombers realistically give us for Brad Sewell. Was hoping more Melbourne than Bombers.

Only player we'd want is Zaharakis and there is no way he would go. We wouldn't take a third rounder for him. Sewell would fetch a second rounder.

OR:
Savage to Demons for 21, 21 and Sewell for Zaharakis :)

Is Sewell contracted to the end of 2014 or 2015? When he re-signed back in 2012 reports said it was til the end of 2015, now recent reports are saying he is contract to the end of 2014. Maybe club option for 2015 season??

Does anyone know for sure what the situation is?

Savage has nominated Carlton has his preferred club, and pick 28 looks like it will get the deal done.
don't be so sure. I don't think pick 28 is enough for someone who is a walk up start in their best 22, and he is still contracted so we hold all the cards. His manager also said that he is happy to stay a hawk if a suitable trade could not be met.

And 28 doesn't guarantee you a comparable player unless it is used to trade in someone.
28 in the draft could be a hit or miss.

On that basis, I would rather we keep him.

..
Can't all numbers be hit and miss? 6 and more..

I think it depends on how much Savage wants to go, and how much the club is willing to help him, as to whether it gets done or not for 28.

Purely my opinion but this would need to be a 3-way for it to get done. I am always of the belief better the devil you know. Pick 28 in a draft that is shallow for someone who performs well against 80% of teams in the league and is a walk up start in most teams is too low. IMO sewell is a better fit for them as well. It will take the pressure off Judd to be an inside mid. Savage and Sewell for pick 12.

I agree, picks are obviously important to get youth into the club, but with Bailey, Franklin, Osbourne, Guerra, Ellis and maybe Savage and Sewell going, we need some ready made players to come back. Obviously Shoemakers, Suckling help, but Whitecross is going to miss most of next season, so hoping we can get some ready made players between 22-27 that have plenty of football ahead.

Carlton's list is hard to find a direct swap with, they have their untouchables like judd, gibbs, kuezer, murphy etc and then fall away.

What about maybe Yarran?

I think yarran wouldn't be a bad fit for us, but attitude concerns me. But a high draft pick with talent but attitude problems vs a guy with less talent but committed to succeed. I would take the latter. Why people don't change. Well the majority of people don't.

Could of said the same thing about Franklin. I played against Cupido and he never had the drive or potential. Knew a lot of people if you get my drift. Never should of made it IMO.

Have to worry about Whitecross now. To come back from 2nd ACL may be a huge challenge and same can said about Woodward. We really need to get replacements for these players within the next 2 years. So trade for mid-fielders. Really hope Savage stays.

Would be a bit of a risk, he did play some pretty good football under Ratten, so I guess we are in a good position to make a informed judgement on him seen we have Ratten on our coaching team. Having said that he might not be available anyway.
