I must admit I haven't followed Shiel as much as Adams. What sort of player is he? Is he more outside or inside, or both. I know Adams is more an inside, tough nut midfielder, who isn't overly quick, but can run all day.

Talk that Crows may look at trading Ricky Henderson for early draft pick this year. Starting to develop nicely, probably more as flanker or wing. Played some reasonable games before being sent of for surgery this year.

That is bizarre. . . can't understand why they would move him on.

Dylan Sheil is a very promising player and I'd happily part with a first round pick.

Jesus Christ; if we came out of this trade period with Dylan Shiel I would lose the plot; it would be a massive coup. I reckon he will be a champion, he has phenomonal strength and speed, with some silky skills in traffic.

If we could somehow ALSO get Longer... I may have a heart attack and not get to enjoy them at Hawthorn!

Somehow it will go pear shaped and we'll end up with the broken down Mumford perennially warming our bench :(

If we keep topping up for another premiership run we will be hurt in the long term IMHO.

Sylvia - Wouldn't make the first team.

Nicky Dal - Good player but we have enough old midfielders.

Didak -

Joey Montagna? Paul Chapman? Both could be one-two year players to help boost our premiership attributes again for 2014. I dare say Joey has more than two seasons left though.

If we can trade Gilham for Jed, anything is possible.

realsitically though I think we need to top up with what we can get cheap and accept that we are going to fall of the cliff for a couple of years after the 3peat.

Shiel is already very good and will be a serious a grade mid over the next decade. But it's very unlikely we'd get him.

The GIANTS have responded to a report in today's Australian newspaper about Dylan Shiel. General Manager Football Graeme Allan said Shiel, who has played 33 games and finished fourth in the Kevin Sheedy Medal, was a required player. "Dylan is a very talented and highly valued player who is contracted till the end of 2015 and will be remaining with the GIANTS," Allan said.
Def worth a crack but he's def take more than our first pick to get over the line.
Agree with other posters "In Wrigthy we trust".

Never mind Adams, Sheil is already a very good mid in only his second year with tons of improvment left, we should be throwing alot of money his way in an effort to get him back to Victoria, in a couple of years will be one of the top ten midfielders in the league.
