2nd option - Stenglein (Worst deal I've heard in ages - crows are dreaming) Perfer the first option. In fact I don't like either.... how about keep Ottens.

Don't rate Ottens any lower than Hille - so why give more to get him.

biglands definitely, but burton - i think too injury prone. if otto wants to go home expect the tigers to be very agressive in what they will take for him, i dont think brad will want to end up at hawthorn. it may end up a bidding war between the crows and the power.

I can't see the Power being overly interested in Ottens and have heard nothing of the sort here in Adelaide. When you've got Tredrea, Brogan, Lade and Primus why would you need to go after Ottens?

Port's biggest bargaining Power at the end of the season will be Josh Carr who wants to go back to WA. The only way Port will pick up a Victorian player is in a 3 way deal.

Biglands - Not overly excited. You will definately have to give up your first round pick for starters. Probably first round pick and a quality YOUNG victorian player - maybe two ( I don't class Biglands as a quality player )

I think it's hard to value Ottens' worth. There's no doubting his ability but his injuries in the last 2 years will be a concern for any potential new club. He had a great 2001 and looked like becoming one of the star big men of the AFL but his last 2 seasons have been average. He will be 25 in Jan so still has plenty of years in him to become a genuine star of the game.

I think Reilly will be as good as Coughlan in another year and doubt the Crows will trade him, unless he makes it clear he wants to go back to Victoria, which he hasn't so far.

I dont think you're being completely unrealistic with your expectations.

I should clarify, he did not specifically say he definitely wanted to come back to Adelaide. It was more like he was unsure where he is going to end up next year. He was torn between Melbourne and Adelaie. He has his mum in Melbourne and dad in Adelaide and other family in both cities.

I will be really surprised if the Crows give up their first round draft pick this year. More likely they will be looking to trade for more draft picks.

Young Victorians? Reilly, Schuback and Watts are the options. Reilly is the best of the 3, the other 2 will probably start getting more games next year but have already shown potential.

Begs to differ.you owe us after we came through for the crows in regards to our 1st rnd pick in the carey deal.i wouldnt put it past Miller to remind the crows of this .
a 1st rnd pick for Ottens is more than reasonable considering Otto would solve your fwd line problems as well as in the ruck.Players like ottens dont grow on trees like midfeilders!

ps:IMO i think Ottens is gone.Weather its of his own accord or the clubs is debatable.

the local sport show on 5aa (as quoted by my boss - i dont listen to the cretins k.g. and cornsey) said that ottens doesnt have that many ties to SA and actually has 2 or 3 houses in melbourne. his ties to SA are greatly exagerated by the media. will be interesting to see what happens, but if he is on the market you would have 15 clubs offering for him imho.

we wont get Stenglein because he would only go back to WA, if we got him we would have to on trade him after or do a 3 way deal, which sees Otto to Crows, Stenglien in Freo or WCE and we get someone from Freo or WCE.
