Had a thought on the way to work this morning, and the more i think of it, the more accurate this statement is!

Think about the two streams and how similar they are:

Bigfooty: someone creates a thread
TR: someone creates a topic

Bigfooty: Posters discuss the OP's thoughts and raise points/scenarios
TR: Journos discuss the topic and raise points/scenarios

Bigfooty: someone comes in to thread and claims 'X' with 'Y's second cousin's brother's dog, as it's source.
TR: 'Journo' claims 'X' and uses the term 'My sources tell me....' - which is code for 'I saw it on Bigfooty from that poster who said his source was from his second cousin's brother's dog'

Bigfooty: posters reply to rumour and say it is BS, and arguments and dick measuring contests for Dayz...
TR: 'Journos' discuss the topic for dayz to fill in dead air while trade week is boring as bat s**t

Bigfooty: Thread remains on front page and becomes a monster thread
TR: Rumour gathers legs and other 'journos' start reporting on the rumour which has no facts.

Rinse and repeat.

We want you to too!!

(birds are chirping, the morning sun is shining, our protagonist awakens)
Is it today?
Oh is it today?
Will my team trade out a player i love, or will they stay?
Will we upgrade a pick?
Will McLure be a prick?
Has anyone found out if Sydney has traded McVeigh?

If only there a way i could listen
Where dulcet tones audibly glisten
And idiot speakers like Barratt would sanctifly christen
a team that is swapping some picks
and hoping for AFL ticks
to say that the trade
sure makes the grade
to make up a list
so supporters aren't pissed
and our march for the cup won't be journalist grist

Trade Radio!
I'll turn on your station
Trade Radio!
Heard across the nation
Trade Radio!
Most of it's shite
so i'll turn to BigFooty and it'll all be alright
