Have not watched a lot of Armitage or the Saints this year in general. Does Longer for Armitage seem fair?

I'd rather put Karnezis in the PSD to be honest. Just to make a statement to any other kids wanting out.
Yep this. This should be the last thing on our list to do in the trade period. Everything else needs a higher priority.

Next to no chance Saints would trade Armitage. That's one area they lack depth and if Dal Santo goes they are even more exposed through the middle. Just can't see after the years of developing him and with Armitage just starting to play some good football that they would trade him away. Listening to Ameet Bains on Trade Radio it sounded like to me they are just chasing as many picks as they can get in the first round. I think they are more likely to go for a back up ruck man and go with Hickey as their main man. For all the criticism that's headed their way today for the trade of McEvoy i actually applaud them. Best way to rebuild and come back strong is through quality picks. Short term pain but if they can draft well in next two years they could have 4-5 potential 150+ game players. Also it appears Watters didn't rate McEvoy. That call could come back to bite him. Time will tell.

I like Grant from Bulldogs idea. Gives us another forward option with height and mobility (downside is his lack of bulk). He played some terrific football late in the season and was one of the reasons why the Bulldogs finished the season so well. You would like to think he also gained great confidence from those performances. Offer him two years. Docherty to Dogs and maybe a 3rd round draft pick or swap of picks in 3rd round.

If i was Kerr i would tell Eagles don't bother with Yeo until you're prepared to offer a second round draft pick. Hope he laughed at them when they offered their 3rd round. Same goes for Port and their second round pick for Polec. It won't even be 30 by the time we have other picks thrown in for free agency. Interesting to hear Terry Wallace say the other day that Polec had not presented himself at all well in his time at Brisbane and Kerr also spoke about him needing to mature. No doubt he is super talented and will play much better footy back home but sounds like he never really gave the Lions much of a chance. Very poor.

As a Hypothetical, if the Hawks were still keen on Longer. Would you take their compo pick and Grimley?

If Armitage wants out, then on trade Hawks compo Rd1 pick to saints for Armitage.. Would give us a young ruck and quality Qld mid...

Yes I probably think we would. Saints would want more for Armitage.

Armitage tapered off during the year and sort of fell behind Steven in the opposition attention pecking order but from what he's shown previously I think it'd be a massive coup......goalkicking mid with flair, could definitely see him lining up on a flank with Zorko
