Pelchin to have a chat with the guys on trade radio at 1:30

Hopefully he will clear up a few things regarding Hale.

More I read about McKinley the more I like him. If we get him for a late pick and the Hale deal around draft picks then looks like we might have a good trade session.

thank god someone sees what i see!!!

Surely McKinley's upside is far superior to that of Edwards.

Edwards has shown over four years at the club that he is simply not good enough to take over and dominate a game.

He has been given plenty of opportunity, he brings no other player into the game because below his knees he is useless, and any upside to what he has to offer has already been exposed and I think the word limited is the appropriate one for him.

Our forward line is our biggest Achilles Heel, Warren has talent but has proved a little enigmatic but may well prove to be a jet, Hansen has ben thrown there and I think will be a success, but as for the rest ie Black, O'Keeffe, Tarrant etc, we have no idea whether they will cut it.

Tarrant for a start doesn't look capable up forward, and his perfomances at VFL level as a forward seem to back this opinion up, Black needs development as does O'Keefe.

McKinley is young, has kicked goals, takes responsiblity and kicks critical goals from outside 50m (Azza can't) and is no worse than Edwards with the tackling and harrassing.

Pick 69 for a guy of his talent to me is a no brainer in a forward line that doesn't exactly ooze class right now, save for Sam Wright. Mckinley if nothing else is classy.

Just said on foxs sports bud that Carlton have givin up on him and are looking at Gamble or Spanger with us now being the most likely destination
Fox sports also reported yesterday that the Everitt/Veszpremi trade had fallen through...about 20 minutes before it went through.

No more involvement other than that would be good.

Take a punt with #69 on a proven goal-kicker who has been starved of opportunities and 'may' thrive back home, in a young developing side with a good teaching coach.

And, acquire some really good draft picks out of Hale and smash the draft yet again. Solid trade week.

Some one on foxs sports mentioned dawks have thrown Sewell to the table as part of the hale deal if they get it done but melbourne still look favoured

I can't believe they'd be prepared to let Sewell go. How old is he? 25?

If true, I'd be counting his limbs before accepting and checking to see if he has a pulse. Could be a case of Weekend at Bernies.

We are dealing with the Hawks.

Gun inside mid, but does not meet our needs at all. I like him big time, but no.

clearly our weakness is our ability to kick goals!
our top scorer this year kicked 28.
read the previous posts in the thread. everything that your saying has been said before.
bottom line: mckinley has and is capable of kicking 40 plus goals, may need to work on his mobility by shedding some pounds, but has the potential to be a very important power forward who can kick bags of goals in a game

How can you kick goals if you cant get it inside 50 - look i never said i dont rate Mckinley i just dont need if he is exactly what we need right now with player developing to play in a similar position.

If Hawthorn are offering up Sewell it must because they found him smoking shards in the clubrooms last night or something.
A delayed like for like for Gibbo then.

Good player is Sewell, hard as nails. Wrong side of 25 however and didn't have a great year this year. Maybe his best footy is behind him?

Besides I'd be very wary of dealing with Hawthorm for anything other than draft picks. Once bitten and all that.......

A bit too old.

You know how bad trade week is going when on Thursday afternoon the trade week radio show have had to play the Pelchen interview for a third time in the last two hours.

Pelchen said the reason for the delay with the Hale trade has been because Hale hasn't decided which is his preferred club. I'd rather see which club gives us the best offer and then try and convince Hale to go there. :p

I rather see Sewell -> Somewhere else and pick -> us.

Surely the Saints would love someone like Sewell at their club, get rid of some complete plodders off their list.
