NORTH MELBOURNE
Deal: Hawthorn's end-of-first-round draft selection (received as compensation for Campbell Brown) and fourth-round draft selection (No. 71) for David Hale and pick 52. Ben McKinley from West Coast for its fifth-round draft selection (No.86). Cam Richardson (pre-listed player) from Gold Coast for pick 35.
No deal: There was some reported interest in Gavin Urquhart.
We say: Goldstein has taken Hale's spot and they get an extra first-round draft pick plus McKinley for a set of steak knives. Hurts to have to give Gold Coast pick 35 for a guy in their own VFL team.

I thought we had a brilliant trade period. Now all we have to do is pick up the most talented midfielders with our 2 draft picks, rookie list a mature VFL type like Sewell or Smith and grab a developmental ruckman with our last rookie pick.

In the paper itself, the comment was that we'd paid overs for Richo and that he'd need to be David Dench to justify it

Not sure which douche wrote it but:

a. Does he think Cam is a FB?
b. What does he think pick 35 (realistically it's about 40) is worth?
c. Has he ever seen Cam play?

Oh, and of course Krakouer is a brilliant get at 25 for the pies
