They'll need to put up a good young player, like Tapscott or Gysberts, as well as their second round pick if they want a bloke that they think is a "great ruckman".

Funniest thing is I bet you actually believe that...

It was mentioned, but Harrington's already revealed his cards - who offers Pick 32 and then states that the player they're looking to obtain in said trade would be extremely valuable to Melbourne?

Dolt.

Who offers Pick 32 and then states that the player they're looking to obtain in said trade would be extremely invaluable to Melbourne?

Dolt.

Line ball on that one, frankly. My understanding is that it is likely to be shuffled back into the 20's once clubs elect to use compensatory draft picks. Not that appealing, given we know what we're getting if we keep Hale.

Agree. It seems to me that people are overrating the value of some picks due to the compromised draft.

People see pick 21 as a first rounder (and rightfully so), but the bottom line is in my mind, it's still pick 21. If the draft wasn't compromised would they willingly take last year's pick 21? They'd think a lot more carefully about it, but it seems people are jumping at that now due to it being a 'first rounder'.

Irony, you've just called someone a dolt, whilst showing how completely ignorant you are of the word "invaluable".

Little boy, look it up in the dictionary and from now on, don't use words you don't understand.

We should totally go after Brad Dick from Collingwood, read somewhere he might have some problems at the Pies.. straight swap for Campbell.

That is a bit stiff. Why trade Campbell?

No, I don't think he's a great ruckman. I was lazily paraphrasing your list manager who said he'd seen Hale play "great" in the ruck then go forward and kick a goal.

My point is you don't get a ruckman like that for second round pick that can be anywhere between 32-38, depending on which clubs use their compensation pick this year. And if your list manager thinks he can then he's a dolt, like you.

Great form.

In all seriousness, you could picture Dick bursting in and out of the centre-square.

As long as he doesn't bust his nut down in the 'cat house'. Apparently a few down at the cattery have a soft spot for Dick.

Dick, Cunnington and Swallow on the ball.

At most it would get moved back to 21 as a majority of the compensation picks occur at the end of the first round none of the picks prior to that are affected if one of the clubs with said picks elects to use it this year. The only pick that would affect pick 19 is if Geelong choose to use their compensation for Ablett.

Re. order of compensation picks kool kangas asked earlier its the reverse order of where the clubs with picks finished on the ladder i.e. if you finished 16th you get your compensation pick first 15th second etc.
