Trade Target

Harford, Tallis and McCabe are probably the most likely under threat. With the minimal goal kicking power we have, Ben Dixon has been told that he is a required player and will not be traded.

Given a good preseason, I think Holland, THompson and Hay will be great players and fresh for 2003. I also think it would be silly of Hawthorn to trade a great clubman in Holland.

The way I see it, we need a ruckman, goalkicking forward, and another midfielder.
My three targets would be Everitt, Bradshaw, and Caracella.
I know it would be really hard to get all three, but even if we snared two we would be off to a good start.
I would keep Holland and Dixon and tell them they MUST kick more goals, especially if Thompson is required to do more ruck work.

IMO, I don't think McCabe shouldn't be up there as a trade target.

McCabe was one of the most important players in the team when not injured this season, so no he shouldn't be on the trade list.

I also think that Harford has plenty of years left in him and should be kept for at least another year as he has been a very valuable player in recent years when not injured.

I agree with Tallis, but don't think we will get a whole lot for him really. A late draft pick at the most probably.

I'll give this a shot, how about McKernan for Rawlings? I expect you guys to say no, but think carefully about what Corey did in a team that had woeful disposal and delivery this year. He kicked 40 goals for the year.

we should hang onto Tallis, he does his bit.. Harford may still have plenty of years left, but he hasn't played anywhere near his best footy for a long time... as for McCabe... oh pls..dont get me started on McCabe!!!

Which is why the Blues will be keen to hang on to him and see his output soar as the team improves.
