We need good young talent on our list. Not any more cloggers.

Not one of our players made the AA under 23 team. I think that says a bit in terms of that lack of development of that teer of players over the last few years. (we have some potentials coming through now though)

If we can get players in the Jacksh, Mitchell mould who can come through and add to our list then that's great. If Malthouse also thinks he can develop a player outside of that mould then so be it (i.e. Everitt - who has been a good get). But more players in that age bracket with talent, the better.
Ollie wines didn't make the team either. Best to ignore it.

But everyone wants to come to Carlton. ;)
We are getting better at this. It used to be Hawthorn and always remains the case with the Pies.

The challenge is to only take good players. I'm ok taking Blease provided its a very cheap exchange. He could be a decent depth player, but he's going to need 2 years of development at least before he comes good I reckon.

We just need Jaksch to tell GWS he wants to come to Carlton. JOR too perhaps.

What kind of player?
Moreland is a hard at it onballer who can use the ball well on both sides of his body. Can be ellusive in heavy traffic and his beep test of 15+ shows he's got a decent motor.

His disposal and run in the AFL probably would best suit him to a half back type role. Would need to put on some weight however his hard at it style and toughness means he could most likely handle the argy bargy of AFL.

It's a shame that some people read names tied to us and drop their load, believing that they'll all be coming over.

We're after the right types that will make us better and not Northern Blues regulars...............we'll get them in the draft.
You mean guys like Treloar? :p

Remember when we were a lock for Thorpe but then Rogers said we never even inquired.

If only others remembered this.

I'm sure we understand that we are posting on the BF Blues board rather than speaking directly with CFC's recruiting team. ;)

If we manage to secure Matt De Boer (who comes from a South African background), I'd get the club to make him say:

"Deeeeeeeplomatic immunity"

Be careful buddy, you wouldn't even be able to give him a 'porking tikket'

Not unless it came from Inspector Trrrrrigg...

No way. The club is adamant Sanderson lost the players.....

You sack him to ensure your Dangerfields and Sloanes don't leave.
My source said the feel around the club would be that sando would have been sacked and the decision was made quite a while ago. Players had lost faith in him leading them to the finals. Most players are excited about this but at the same time there are some that don't like it… (Hopefully Dangerfield is one of them :p). This person said that the club is a mess, unstructured, players do as they wish, and there is no discipline, and its been like that for a long time. After hearing what they had to say, it wouldn't surprise me if Dangerfield did walk out….

On another topic now, not sure if this has been brought up yet, but could we potentially get Sando over as an assistant to MM? Didn't Trigg say we need more people? or was he talking about something different? No idea.. but just a thought.

And Sando leaving wasn't Fagans move… That decision was already made before he came in.

No I think it shows it's a farce.
Well that's just a pretty simplistic way to look at it. 1 player get's left out because there's other quality players eligible, so it's a farce. Ok.

Besides the point. As I said, not one of our players deserved to be in that team at this point in time, or even the main AA squad. That's a problem, and probably one of the core reasons why where we are on the ladder.

I could go through and list the players that missed but Wines is the stand out.

A lot of players in the team don't deserve to be either.

I honestly don't know why we feel that because journos don't rate someone that they're no good.
