Interesting that the bulldogs recruited Panos, originally. They have built a forward line of classy flankers who can rotate through the midfield - Bontempelli, Stringer, Crameri.

Panos was a good competitor in the U18s, where he could use his size against kids. But he was too one dimensional, which would seem to have been addressed as an onballer.

A chance with one of those late picks we'll pick up in the trade period. Snag Membrey too! ;)

Panos was EVERYWHERE in the SANFL GF. Impressive given against it was against a lot of AFL talent

You reckon etsal1?

I thought he had so much confidence about him that he could well be impatient by this time next year.
I meant can't see him being impatient this year. Unless he's so arrogant that he thinks he should get a game in one of the best forwardline's in the comp in his first year in a premiership year.

He was only drafted last year. Can't see him getting impatient.
I knew that part, Em! He's behind Gunston, Breust, Puopolo and perhaps Cyril so would have to be extra patient. As the others have said, he is a firebrand with an ego to boot so may be jonesing to get a crack. He already seems to be wasting away in the VFL.

There can be only 1
Lose Eddie to free agency, trade Jeffy, delist Ellard?
if he can't cement a place at the Bulldogs, should we chase him?
we should not discount him simply because he could not cement a place at the Bulldogs. If he has the attributes we want then please consider him.
Different coach may be just the thing.
Changing clubs may be the spur to generate a long fruitful career.
Many other players have fallen into this category before.

Of course we evaluate every player wanting a change of club. But 26 games in 5 years doesn't scream PICK ME.

Livewire players under 6 foot are a dime a dozen.

Hawks, swans, cats get criticised unfairly for landing FAs however this is a reflection of how well they are ran.
They also happened to be the best teams when FA came in. And FA looks set to give them a big helping hand in staying that way.

Being a top team at the time FA was introduced is a very, very fortunate position to be in.

Indeed.

Plus the fact that the Salary Cap has increased 400k on 2014 (a cool 900k since 2013), has the top clubs sitting pretty, and can continually top up.

True. Although Freo dont seem to be able to land anyone haha. Players dont want to move all the way out west

I am curious. Is there a certain point where extra money stops being a selling point?

Surely the difference between 700k and 800k a year, while huge from one perspective doesn't seem so important when you consider the change in quality of life would be minimal
