We are not going to trade away our KPP problems in one draft. Tell GWS to keep KJ and let Rodgers earn his pay and find us some talks in the 2nd and 3rd rounds with picks. FFS, we are literally 5 years away from a premiership tilt. We have time. If we are shit scared of not finding talent in the draft, then fix the real problems. Our recruiters and scouts. End of rant.
Getting a KPP with a couple of years in the system and more physical development could help us do something while Murphy and Gibbs still have something in them.

How about:

Carlton give up 7 and Jamo.
GWS give up Boyd, pick 4 and a 3rd rounder
Doggies give up Griffen and 5th rounder..

Carlton get Boyd and 3rd rounder
GWS get Jamo and Griffen and 5th rounder
Doggies get Pick 4, 7

You honestly think Carlton will be cut throat enough to totally change the angle of what theyve been negotiating on for the past 4 days.

They cant just turn around now and ask for a gun player/pick to be added to whats been discussed now that they smell blood from GWS.

With SOS at the other side of the negotiating table.
I couldn't give a pinch of shit who is sitting on the other side of the table, particularly with the way they approached the negotiations at first. A second rounder was fair value for Jaksch, but they wanted more. Now they need 7 and we should take them for as much as we can get.

In the past I would agree. Not now though. Mick will be going hard at it.

Reckon if Dogs request the Giants first pick then they'll have TWO picks before our first.
Considering their blindingly obvious lack of key position players surely there's a fair chance that any talls we'd hope would have fallen to us will well and truly be gone. Maybe pick 7 therefore holds less value to us?
Good point and is pretty consistent with what EP posted the other night - If we keep pick 7, we want to take a tall. If we can get a tall in Jaksch and another first round pick for a mid, it makes sense.

Makes even more sense if the tall prospects have gone. Moore already out of the pool too

How about is we go

#7 + #28 for Jaksch (KPD), McCarthy (KPF) and #19 then use #19 on a midfielder

If the GWS want #7 to land that "big fish" that they have been after for years now (lol @ Shaw and Scully) then now is their chance but they need to pay up for it !!!!!!!
