Getting a KPP with a couple of years in the system and more physical development could help us do something while Murphy and Gibbs still have something in them.
Jones and Jaksch just gives us structure imo. It stops us from repeating the horrors of 2012 with Walker and Betts in KPP posiitions.

Heart and soul reasons
The same heart and sole reasons that left our club with no fresh talent back when we won the premiership and kept on playing the older players without bringing on the new... The top Sides are now trading while players who are hovering around 30 still have some currency...
We should have traded Waite last year.. We wait 1 year too long and get nothing.. We have to start getting smart with our trading or we will get left for dead with our old style of thinking... Players will also choose to leave us.. Loyalty is going out the door... We are losing Garlett and Robbo for nothing, yet you wouldnt take Boyd for Jamo... ??

Geeze people, please use your brains.

GWS aren't getting rid of a 10 year + gun forward just so they can acquire a 28 year old midfielder. Boyd won't be going as part of any trade involving Griffen.
Depends , If Boyd wants to come to Carlton they should do it now before he is out of contract next year. That's a BIG if though.

Jaksch and Buntine (Luke Hodge/Bryce Gibbs) utility sounds good to me.

GWS need to open up list spots and their midfield is getting ridiciously deep now.

While GWS would be working themselves up in a lather over getting Griff, you never know what they might do to get him... Swap the names Boyd for Patton or Cameron... Would it be worth it even if Patton had to sit out a year... I'd definitely consider it..
Our club has some leverage now.. For GWS to get Griff, they need our pick 7.. Lets focus on one of their big guns now instead..That would be my attitude if I were running the show at Carlton...

Good point and is pretty consistent with what EP posted the other night - If we keep pick 7, we want to take a tall. If we can get a tall in Jaksch and another first round pick for a mid, it makes sense.

Makes even more sense if the tall prospects have gone. Moore already out of the pool too
So if we want that tall, we are looking at Lever (who might be gone) or Durdin who might still be available at #10 for the Crows. Makes it more palatable if we weren't looking at Laverde, Ahern, Duggan anyway.

I know this deal is unlikely, but Jamo is better than Hendo in that role. Always amazed at how leading forwards have such quiet days when matched to Jamo. He is very under-rated!
I get that.. But how many years do u think he has left in those shoulders.. He seems to gets stingers constantly everytime I watch him..

Pick 7 doesn't get anywhere near any of those three forwards.

Which player do you plan on giving up?
