Does that mean he's any good?
It's an improvement on our best 22, would replace a McLean/Armfield type on the bench, if all it costs us is the cap space we have to pay someone anyway (Like McLean) i think it's a pretty straight forward move

As long as it's a decent price and it's not inflated for his worth to us

Higgins can definitely play

Waite is the 'elephant' in the room. Not sure if any other Carlton fan is saying it, but his form in the past fortnight, and key toward struggles at other clubs like Freo and The Bulldogs means we should cash in and let him go, either in a trade, or more likely via free agency, which would likely net us a handy 2nd round pick. I like Waite, is the son of a club great, but with Levi developing better then most fans hoped for, we can afford to let Waite go to aid our mini-rebuild IMO
Has Levi signed on for next year yet?

I am sure Levi is going to re-sign with us, but his manager is probably trying to get the best deal possible for him, knowing the dearth of quality young KPF's at the moment
May be waiting to see what happens with Waite. If it looks like he's walking, there could be some more $$$ on the table for Levi.

Jeffy has had an enormous fall from grace and doesn't appear to be able to drag himself out of it.

He's an enormous talent but unfortunately when things aren't happening for him he becomes a complete liability which is what he has been for the better part of the past 18 months or so.

Sadly his days at Carlton seem to be numbered and it just makes sense that he starts afresh in his home state.

What he's worth and what we'll get are two completely different propositions. At his best he's worth every bit of a first round pick but reality dictates we won't get near that. Right now his value would be at an all time low and we'd be damn lucky to get a 2nd round pick for him.

Wherever he ends up I do wish him the best as it really has been sad to see just how far he's fallen in such a short period of time. I hope he's able to work through his issues and get back to producing somewhere near his best football because whichever club he's at will be significantly better for it.

I can certainly see him making his way to West Coast and turning things around.

How the hell does this always happen. Why do players always have issues in their contract year. Even Laidler last year we might've been able to trade had he been contracted.
Add Sauce to that list.

As if our recruiting isn't a big enough source of pain, we're also haemorrhaging AFL-quality players.

Yeh, Sauce is in a different category. His last game for us was one of his best. So it's entirely different to Garlett.

And my comment wasn't a criticism of the club. It is entirely just bad luck that Jeffy is having problems in the year his contract finishes. If you're going to blame the club for that, then yeh. I don't know what to say.

Hang on guys this is the club that traded pick #17 for Wellingham

We'll get a decent trade

Very sad to see Jeffy go, if he does, but as good as that 100game package is, there haven't been that many this year, and unfortunately for both Carlton and Jeff, it seems like staying here will just continue digging the rut he is in.

I'll be able to see Jeff running rings around the opposition on Subi and we'll hopefully be able to see a future 150 game player in return. (Or maybe Gaff)
