we only need one of:

o'shea/Jonas/stewart

butcher or schulz- potentially neither

sam gray/ah chee/Colquhoun

Put Carlile on rookie list (why tf he is on a 4 year deal)

Delist: Mitchell- unfortunate, but can't see a place for him in our team for the future.

We should keep Lobbe as a depth ruckman with Frampton. Getting a a depth ruck (like Nankervis) would cost potentially more than what we get for Lobbe.

And try and get some young talent who can play to rejuvenate the list
Is Carlisle on a 4 year deal:eek: you cant be serious.

If Sydney have academy players coming through that they need picks for, potentially we could get Nankerivis for a selection of lower picks.

Then trade Lobbe for one high pick.
The problem here is if Ryder goes down are back to square one.

We need a big trade year- swapping like for likes... In an attempt to develop a different mix- I think the whole team is stagnating. I wouldn't mind if anyone was traded- except Ryder, Dixon, wines, wingard, r.gray. And there is defintly a few players who are done completely that must be moved on.

im not saying everyone should be moved on or traded but if we had 6 -8 like for like trades, leaders/depth players, with a slightly better draft position... It would invigorate the list in an attempt to get a better balance across the board and hopefully harden up our leadership group.

Carlile's cap hold wouldn't be enough to worry about if we were to straight up delist him. Without paying gus and Ryder this year we can pay 105% cap next year, a fair portion of that is unaccounted for money. He took 4 years on reduced pay and likely front loaded. Can easily be cut and paid out.

Carlile will play next year then I guess. I'd be trying to trade Clurey then.
Clurey needs to stay. O'Shea and Carlile are trade bait. Stewart can take Mitchells (Formerly Logans) spot as the experienced "rookie" for the Maggies.

if we can trade Lobbe for a 2nd rounder id be doing it tomorrow, i just dont see him coming back. If we get a 2nd rounder for him then id use that for the best ruck prospect in the draft. I cant see lobbe anymore than an insurance policy for ryder and if that is the case then he's just taking too much of the cap

Most would do that, but any trade for Lobbe for less than a first rounder is an admission of last years stuff up. I come down on the side that too many will be worried that wrecks their reputation and long term career damaging to them. I'd hope KT comes over the top of them protecting their own arses, but our complete lack of ruthlessness in voluntarily moving players on since Ken started has me doubting that.

Hoping we can move on Lobbe to GWS. Mumford will disappear soon and the attraction of a Lobbe/Lobb partnership may be too attractive to pass up ha ha. Maybe we could get Jack Steele in a straight swap. He was a 24 pick and doing well in the NEAFL but not burning it up in the AFL.

Would think a Vic club would pay a first rounder for him.
GWS got their premiership window open, i dont think they would be interested in picks, with Mumford getting old, lobbe is better value thats whats on offer in the market like Vickery.
