we do not need any depth players from sa. If we want players from SA, get regulars. These include Daniel and Dunstan.

Jack Trengove and Jack Grimes are languishing in the Melbourne reserves. My impression is that both could play as inside mids in our team. Very much a moneyball trade but there is still a lot of upside in these guys. They have fallen behind Oliver, Viney, Petracca and Brayshaw as far as Melbourne are concerned. I would also look at Nathan Jones but he is their captain and their main mature mid.

I'd expect the price for Trengove to be similar to Toumpas if his foot is ok. That is, if we could offer the Demons a pick upgrade, we should score him- i.e. our third round for their fourth??? Our first for their second seems overs but if we have our eye on Graham or Scharenberg (who are not worth a top ten pick but will be gone by our third round) maybe a deal based on Trengove and their second for our first and some adjustments in our favour lower down could be sorted.
Grimes is 28 next season he has no upside. Would love Trengove if he didn't have a foot problem.

Lobbe and O'Shea for Brodie Grundy and Travis Cloke, Who says no?

In all seriousness, is O'Shea worth anything?

I'm tipping we will attempt to trade, end up delisting and then committing to the pre season draft if available.

St Kilda might be interested still. Their 3rd rounder would get it done. Or upgrading our 3rd rounder to a 2nd rounder.

Seriously? Neither offer anything that we need. We have more than enough blue collar head down arse up, but limited types in our midfield. So to even suggest trading for two injury prone players who already can't get a game in a mediocre midfield is just lunacy.

The director of recruiting is such a pivotal role for the success of a club..he or she for that matter needs to stand ground in opposition to borderline sanity directives from coaching staff. Honestly if we get any more Hottentots in the next draft I will go spare.
Where are you Warren Tredrea?

I really like T Broomhead injuries at Collingwood but bring him home feel he can take wing fwd role like a sidebottom. Rate higher then Mayes 2nd 3rd rounder at best

Broomhead is injured again. (shoulder?) He has no trade value. If he comes to Port it is for a token pick or dfa.

Someone on the GWS board (who seemed to know something lol!) wrote that Port was heavily into Steele. Steele has mainly been linked with Victorian clubs.I have never seen him play but a lot of people rate him and he seems a good fit on our list. He wouldn't come cheap but there are a lot of options trading with GWS.

Steele and Austin are close. Hope Logan is in his ear saying how good the footy club is, I think Steele will be a good player!

I just looked Steele up. He has a December birthday and has been unlucky to to only play 17 games in his first two seasons at GWS. I think someone bid 15 for him in the draft. Apparently been playing out of position for GWS because their midfield is so strong. He sounds like he would be a huge upgrade for our midfield.

Steele is highly likely to leave the Giants, but I don't think he'll be coming here.
