Hes actually had a solid year being the number 1 guy with half a midfield in front of him, but it's quite clear he isnt a number 1 forward.
Now that the season is essentially over I'd like to get Sauce out of the team, send JJ to the ruck, and plant Gov at FF. JJ has performed admirably this season, but Gov is the more natural contested marking player and all these talls are getting in each others way.

We've seen that our Mids refuse to lower the eyes and hit the lead up man this year, so if we are going to continue to bomb it long at every opportunity, we may as well send it towards a guy 1 out who has proven he can take a contested mark.

I have often wondered how Gov would go in Levers old role. Having never seen Himmelberg play is he mobile. Regarding Tex his pre-season to me would be an increase in Cardio/HIT style circuit type training, needs to lose some bulk maintain some strength but get back to that leading forward who can turn on a 10cent piece. With his field kicking could he play much higher with Lynch?
And put his protege on the same program please.

Jenkins and Lynch should be traded or atleast Lynch.

Betts - McGovern - Fogarty
Knight - Walker - Gallucci

That's how I think our forwardline should look like.
Prefer
Betts Gov Fog
Rankine Tex Rozee

With Galluci on I/C rotating through forward and outside mid

Knight in midfield

We need to bring in a ruck that can more than compete with Sauce

We need to find another naturals small pressure forward as Betts is showing signs of slowing down and it’s not Gallucci natural role

More speed and class on the wings to replace DMac and possibly Rat
Our interest in Shai Bolton makes sense if it's true. I like Gallucci, but he seems to have straight line speed only and I think he's a better winger than small forward.

Yep, we didn't draft Gooch to be a small forward. We drafted him to be a change of pace, goal kicking mid. I'd say he would be in a good position to take Seeds wing role for the remainder of the year, which will be great for his development IMO

So apparently according to AFL.com 12 of the 18 teams recruiting divisions got together for an informal meeting last week in Melbourne, to get discussion going on contract status, club needs etc. We were one of the 6 to not attend.

We should be following the successful clubs, like Richmond & Hawthorn. Oh they didn't go either...

"Typically list managers from clubs will meet multiple times throughout the season," So this was just one meeting we didn't attend, but potentially have been going to during the year.

Seems like a non-story to me.

He was pick 29 in 2016, he doesn't get a look in because of Rioli, Butler, Castagna and Higgins. He has an incredible leap, he just needs more confidence and a good run at AFL level
Tyson Stengle>Bolton and he's a SA lad
