Just for fun;
As a bit of an extension on last nights performance, who do you guys rate as the best pressure players available in this years Free Agency? Pulled the 2018 FA list off the AFL website for reference (might not be up to date with re-signings)

Restricted
Cam Guthrie (Geelong); Tom Lynch (Gold Coast); Tom McDonald (Melbourne); Shaun Atley (North Melbourne), Bachar Houli (Richmond); Andrew Gaff (West Coast), Scott Lycett (West Coast); Jeremy McGovern (West Coast); Jordan Roughead (Western Bulldogs); Mitch Wallis (Western Bulldogs)

Unrestricted
David Mackay (Adelaide); Andy Otten (Adelaide); Rohan Bewick (Brisbane); Ryan Lester (Brisbane); Kade Simpson (Carlton); Jarryd Blair (Collingwood); Alex Fasolo (Collingwood); Tyson Goldsack (Collingwod); Ben Reid (Collingwood); Tom Bellchambers (Essendon); Hayden Ballantyne (Fremantle); Michael Johnson (Fremantle); David Mundy (Fremantle); Aaron Sandilands (Fremantle); George Horlin-Smith (Geelong); Daniel Menzel (Geelong); Jarrod Harbrow (Gold Coast); Michael Rischitelli (Gold Coast); Shaun Burgoyne (Hawthorn), Taylor Duryea (Hawthorn); Paul Puopolo (Hawthorn); Ryan Schoenmakers (Hawthorn); Brendan Whitecross (Hawthorn); Neville Jetta (Melbourne); Scott Thompson (North Melbourne); Sam Wright (North Melbourne); Justin Westhoff (Port Adelaide); Reece Conca (Richmond); Shaun Grigg (Richmond); Sam Gilbert (St Kilda); Heath Grundy (Sydney); Jarrad McVeigh (Sydney); Nick Smith (Sydney); Mark Le Cras (West Coast); Eric Mackenzie (West Coast); Luke Dahlhaus (Western Bulldogs); Tom Liberatore (Western Bulldogs); Dale Morris (Western Bulldogs)
Of the unrestricted players Ican’t see too many that would be happy to leave or the Crows would see any trade value in due to age. I’m a fan of Dahlhaus but he’s a premiership player. Why would he leave? Poppy would be happy at Hawthorn I would think.

The Word on AFL 360 last night is that Adelaide are intent on getting Pick 1 in next years draft and unless a miracle happens it will be Carlton's pick. Jack Lukosius is there man a key forward. They have picks 8,13,19 and 37 in the draft, and from my understanding it is the indigenous players that are the most disgruntled about Adelaide's Pre-Season debacle. I believe Eddie Betts could end his career at Carlton, however he will be 32 by the time next season starts and I would expect a Luke Hodge type scenario (very late Pick) if he did come back. Carlton's interest over the last couple of seasons has been the Crouch brothers, I believe Adelaide may be willing to now make a deal for the as they have both been injured all year!

Now The club has said they will not be asking for a priority pick, I think the AFL may give them 1 anyway. We need 3 or 4. Cripps won't sign as he wants to see the blues drafting strategy.

My ultimate dream would be to see both Crouch brothers a free agent, Eddie and a pick 2 running around next season in navy blue. Wishful thinking I suppose.

With JJ looking pretty interested in a media career, would there be a possible trade to St Kilda?

Pick 4/5 for JJ and what? Pick 19 be enough?

JJ, Atkins, 19 and 37 for pick 4/5?

I would do that and then find a way to get Rankine
Melbourne’s first and 2019 first for Saints 1st if needed.
Leaves Pick 19 for Valente.
Then Kelly for Francis.
CEY + Pick 37 for GCs Pick 28.

Would put us in a very good position going forward with a competing squad but with a large stock of elite talent.

I really can’t see us trading for Francis this year. It was written we had shown a little interest last trade period but not much and Dons wanted too much. I can’t see the position changing to much this trade period except AFC would pay less and be less interested.

Maybe true, but he has shown a lot this year in the VFL. For me he is not a list need and we need to do everything we can to get Luko and Rankine. But otherwise Francis and Preuss are ones that I would like to get in. Pruess is worth about 25 I reckon and Francis about 35. But Luko and Rankine the priorities.

Not true , it's the price that is sticking point

We had Gibbs priority and Essendon weren't giving him away , may be easier this year

I'd consider 2019 2nd rounder if we do our due diligence and see if Essendon blink

Reckon that's pretty close to the mark , 25 maybe a touch high for Preuss but not for a club in need like we are

Lycett interests me but I'm not convinced either way

Valente is a good player I think pick 19 is a touch high especially for our midfield needs

We have Matt Crouch and Greenwood who both lack speed , Valente adds to that issue

I like him and would take him. I like him and would take him but not with pick 19

We’ve publicly stated we want a ruck, but yeah, Pruess would interfere with us getting as many SA guys this year as we can. I rate Francis around 35 too but Dons wouldn’t. If Dorodo wanted a first round last year he’ll at least want an early second this year. I don’t think we’d pay it. IMHO.
