Not true , it's the price that is sticking point

We had Gibbs priority and Essendon weren't giving him away , may be easier this year

I'd consider 2019 2nd rounder if we do our due diligence and see if Essendon blink
That could do it but I can’t see AFC doing it. IMO, if we are really chasing Luko and Rankine, and we are, next years 1st would have to be in play, so we can’t use our 2nd 2019 at all if that happens. I just can’t see Francis coming into it with other higher priorities.

I am hoping we can use our 2019 first to get Luko/Rankine. So we wouldn’t be able to use our 2019 2nd.

We’ve publicly stated we want a ruck, but yeah, Pruess would interfere with us getting as many SA guys this year as we can. I rate Francis around 35 too but Dons wouldn’t. If Dorodo wanted a first round last year he’ll at least want an early second this year. I don’t think we’d pay it. IMHO.

I tells ya, we're grabbing Tom Campbell as a DFA for a year or two.

What about trying to bring back Coleman-Jones from a Richmond this year or next to takeover from Sauce?

Has anyone been following his progress in the VFL?
He's playing forward/ruck since they also have Ivan Soldo and Mabior Chol. Like our setup when we had Lowden, O'Brien and Hunter.

Soldo will be the one we look at from the Tigers instead of Coleman-Jones.

Campbell's no star but in Ruckman terms he's a massive upgrade on Paul Hunter and Tim Auckland.
He'll be like our Gus Graham/Luke Lowden grabs. Not a world beater, but has AFL experience. Beveridge is clearly done with him, he's the only guy in the ruck he WON'T try.

Yep, I do wonder if he'd put in a good word on us or not. Oscar McInerney was supposedly the other we were looking at, but that was earlier in the year when he wasn't playing. Doubt he has any interest in leaving the Lions now.
