Todd Marshall on Insta..”I’m going to miss you Uncs”
I remember him saying how much Ryder has helped him since the loss of his parents.
I guess next year the Saints will get a promising young forward from us for peanuts when he decides he wants to join Ryder there.
Nah, Paddy won't be at St Kilda for more than a year or two.

Its almost like we have given away an absolute lock in our best 22 for nothing at all... reality is, Howard was fringe and in fact couldnt even get a game at the end of the season.

There is no way that a player of his size and "attributes" should be anywhere near the fringe of a bottom 8 side - we desperately needed/ need a tall defender and a tall forward, in theory Howard should be perfect for either of these roles... for him to be allowed to walk out as a contracted player speaks volumes as to how little the club actually saw in him.

Listening to Cripps tonight, it is clear that the club didnt see Howard as best 22 and are rapt to turn him into a first round pick.
They refused to play him down back, dropped him. Brown in a bottom 6 side that kicked 1 goal the previous week comes out and kicks 10 on Jonas and clurey. Superstar larkey kicked 4 that day too..

Yeah lets back in our decision makers...

Have to feel sorry for lukosius he’s getting a s**t sandwich no matter how it’s sliced

Suns no one gives a s**t you’ve made your dream and no one knows who you are or cares and you never win a game

Crows club is in turmoil they all hate each other and it’s a cult so he’s biting into stale white dog s**t

As for port it’s ran by dumb and dumber and no one has any clue what’s going on aka the this is fine fire meme or a nice runny soggy turd

Poor bastard

How's Cripps on 5aa stating that we've still got Watts and Westhoff to float down back to help Clurey and Jonas. Pinning our hopes to WATTS and a 50 year old. Both terrible 1:1 defenders.
Watts and Westy are not the answer but to be fair, both are good floating/burst players. Watt's had a spectacular start to the season before getting injured - looking forward to seeing if he comes back with the same attitude.

From the sound of it the only decent thing to do would be to have Richmond approach him?

Dont you have a thread of slow motion Dustin Martins to cream over?

Some Richmond/port news

Tony Sheehan reckons wines management also asked Richmond if we had interest in wines and we told him we couldn’t fit him in cap wise

A Richmond poster said today his mate who gets info usually about a different team said the tigers approached port about SPP today offering 2020 first rounder and a later round pick not sure on how good his mates mail is

Our main itk who called Tom lynch to Richmond 2 years before he came said our main targets this off season was brad crouch but if he went chasing money our back up plan was spp

We def have an interest in a big body to play midfield to hopefully extend cotchins career who’s a bit battered probably doesn’t happen but being friendly passing it on

You know who else couldn't get a game either? Lycett. We played Ryder instead who we just gave away for nothing.

Dixon Was dropped too. I guess he's not best 22?

Broadbent, who we just delisted, was given games in preference of Garner. Not best 22? He should be.

Sam Gray was shopped around with no suitors despite playing every week. Where does he sit in the scheme of things?

Let's not act like this there's any reasoning to this madness, please. Don't put your faith in people that haven't earned it.

It's abundantly clear that Ken is on another planet to the list manager. Problem is niether of them are on planet earth.

Our selections this year were baffling then and even worse now. Our fear of bottoming out or losing big took over selections and resulted in Ryder and Broadbent getting games ahead of Ladhams, Hayes and Garner for example, while we even drop Dougal to move Hoff back (******* lol - even chocos gold passes were never that ******* horrible).

So glad we got so many games into blokes the list manager had ruled out at the start of the year. I mean, are he and ken even on speaking terms? Have they ever met? What the *.

The club is a ******* asylum.

Man, I'm so deflated by all of this.

Between last year's trade period and this year's trade period, we're clearly positioning ourselves for a serious rebuild. The order of both trade periods has been to trade out good prime age players with currency for first round draft picks, get talent through the door, build for the long term. So we're left with a team half full of promising young players and half full of ageing veterans who have fired their best shots. This is not a recipe for a premiership or even finals, it's a recipe for the bottom 6.

Now, this is all well and good on some level. It's probably true that we missed our premiership window circa 2014-2017 and should be looking longer term now. But that being the case, why are the same people who failed to capitalise on that window of opportunity still in charge of this rebuild? And why are we as supporters just expected to sit back and accept this fact, despite watching our team miss the finals for 9 of the past 12 years and now facing another however many years in the wilderness whilst the team is rebuilt again?

The whole thing is just so depressing.

Because Ken only likes players who are compliant and obedient. Anyone who expresses reservations about anything Ken wants finds themselves on the outer, no matter their value to the team.
Unfortunately this looks to be the case. This happens often in the work place and its always because the person is very average at their job and will do anything to protect themselves.
