Surprised to see Jordan Murdoch delisted, you would think he would find another home.
Not sure he offers more than Ryan Lester would.

Well he played 15 for us so it stands to reason he would play more for a finals side.Probably

As good as his best is, I think we've already taken our quota of risky injury prone players for one trade period.I know it wont happen.. but i'd be stoked if we got Menzal in on a 2 year deal.
Strangest phenomenon in the AFL, the fact he is so maligned and not sort after, can only assume he must have attitude or off field issues (along with his knees)
Could easily kick 40 goals next year and would fill that mid sized role perfectly.
Dont care about pressure either.. this obsession with looking at a players fault over what they can do is BS.
I think its the lack of defensive pressure, by all accounts he was very dedicated through his rehabs.I know it wont happen.. but i'd be stoked if we got Menzal in on a 2 year deal.

He has lost a lot of lateral movement but he can still play.
The suns could use him, he would probably top their goal kicking. Then again 40 would top ours.
The Lack of D pressure thing is so over played.
He is incredibly tough to play on and makes defenders very nervous.
He is elite in every category as a forward, and below average in tackles and pressure acts - but that's the same for a lot of forwards.
There was also an article detailing that the way Geelong plays him, basically doesn't allow for many opportunities to pressure.
IF we got him and he played 18 or more games (which we won't and arguably shouldent) I assure you we would be absolutely loving him down there as our spot up mid sized forward along side Charlie and Hippy.
I agree with an earlier poster that we have filled our injury prone spots for this intake.
Are you thinking of the article from AFL.com which was basically just an interview with his manager?
My take is, clubs make weird calls but Geelong aren’t prone to amateur mistakes. They aren’t overburdened with dangerous talls and they’re still letting him go. That says to me that something important is awry.
You wonder how Plugger would go now.. I think average 1 tackle a game as well.. A few guys taken out although not a stat they keepNot sure who it was with, but I did see champion data stats rating him as an elite forward in every category that counts in that article. Yep, that was my initial point, must be something more than defensive pressure at play - to have a 45 goal a year forward in his prime, struggling to get a spot on an AFL list.
