That hasn't happened

Onto more realistic trades - Marcus Adams. What's his value? Pick 35 last year, 23 years of age, good form in the games he played but copped an injury. Contract likely to be pretty small. His value has probably gone up slightly this year so worth a pick in the late 20's. We hold pick 34 so that would be a slightly better detail for us I reckon. Given he is under contract the Dogs are unlikely to accept. Also not sure if any more FA compo picks are likely, but if so that pick could go down a spot or two.

He's a decent talent but clearly not worthy of pick 12.

Jake Waterman also comes into play. I don't know enough about it him to know how highly rated he is. Unless he is picked up in the top 20 our picks 34 and 54 should be enough to land him. Losing pick 34 probably ends any chance of him coming to the club because he'd need to last pretty much to our pick 54 and that seems unlikely from the bits I've read.

Hypothetical if we trade our third and someone bids for him after our second what happens?

Has anyone mentioned this yet but Brown is gone , not that anyone has picked him up as a free agent but when he nominated he wanted to seek free agency West Coast withdrew their contract offer . Yeah he is gone iether which way.

So another back up backman may be traded in I would think

There's always the option of a 12 for 18 swap.

Also, I know it's impossible, but I am 100% sure we'd be interested in Liam Duggan.

Downgrading 12 to 18 is probably a good deal for us. I'd say you guys would want 54 back as well.

Adams + 18 = 12 + 54 ? Probably about right given I've got Adams pegged around about the worth of #30 pick. We probably still come slightly in front. Would you downgrade 6 picks in the teens to go up 25 picks in the middle of draft? I would.

Especially as it could be a Dom Sheed scenario for us were we believe the guy we're going to take at 12 will be around at 18, so we're essentially getting a guy we value at ~30 for pick 54....

The Waterman F/S comes into it again. Giving up our third rounder means we need him to last till at least about pick 25, maybe even as long as picks 28 to 30.

Goldstein is quality. Would be a great addition to the squad. Could we do something like
Lycett & our 2nd to Port (assuming they lose Lobbe). Port send there 1st to Roos. Roos send us Goldy?

Sam Mitchell to WCE - the biggest trade in the club's history, and for pick 88 just tops it off, and Hawthorn paying part of his wage. Don't know whether we had anything to do with it or it just fell in our lap.
Massive free kick from Clarko. We should make a monument to him.

If Goldstein wanted to leave North so badly he would just join a melbourne club surely. Why would he relocate across the other side of the country to a club which already has a couple established ruckman in NN and Lycett? There are 16 other clubs he could run away to and be better off.

Whole thing is bogus.

Dark Sharks with the personal stuff that he is working through maybe he actually want's not only out of North Melbourne but also right out of Victoria.

Clean Break / Fresh start.

That said I don't believe he is heading West.
