At the end of the day Champs JOM will be going to the City where his girlfriend lives , the lure of the :cat:"hairy magnet":cat: has and always will be.....the clincher.
Adam and Eve, Samson and Delilah hey ... even Jennifer Hawkins and me ( Ok I did embellish the truth on that one ).

Make no mistake history is littered with men whos demise has been triggered by , their attraction to either :

1. Slow Horses :horseracing::horseracing::horseracing::horseracing:

OR

2. Fast Women :dancer::dancer::dancer::dancer:

And heaven help a man who is attracted to both.

That I do so note as the John Forrest is a concept of a by gone era , that said on a long cold winter night I dare say that either roughs or smooth are still OK.

Reminds me of a joke..... and Mods .... let this one stay.

Wife came out of the bathroom as said " I have just shaved my :cat: and you know what that means don't you? "

Husband said " Yeah, the bloody plug hole is blocked again " !

Really who would want to own a Cat.

That said I am a big fan of the new silky soft Gillett Models so thanks Keyser I will from now on refer to them as Brazilian Magnets.

He's better than Nelson and Cole.
Kids with only a handful of games don't win you flags. He's a required player.
And?
He's getting old, not going to be around forever and next year could quite well be his last. You're right that kids with a handful of games don't win you premierships, so does it not make sense to get a few games here and there into Cole so he doesn't get thrown to the wolves in 2018? You're confusing hate with smart planning and the natural progression of a footballers career, with one player getting older and on the way out and another younger player coming through and developing. It's not that hard a concept to grasp.

Ohh no I grasp the concept.
But IMO next year with Mitchell not guaranteed to play in 2018, JK kicking goals, Priddis still putting out elite numbers, Shuey going elite etc we should only be putting token games at home against bottom 8 sides into Nelson and even more so Cole.

Butler will miss a game here and there as he did this year but I fully expect him to be best 22 and an important player come September.

Giving them token games at home against bottom 8 sides seems like a perfect way to create the next generation of flat trackers, fantastic idea. You do realise that we can actually develop young players and win games at the same time? Hawthorn, Sydney, Geelong have all done it (and are still doing it) over the last few years. Do you know who hasn't done it that well? Fremantle, and look what happened to them last year once a couple of their more experienced players retired or got injured. You mentioned Mitchell coming into the team, half the point of getting him was to give the younger guys exposure to his leadership and smarts on the field. What's the point of that if they don't get on the park with him at all? I'd like to see Cole get around 10 games and Nelson at least 12 next year. That doesn't mean Butler gets no games but I think you could get away with resting him for 5 or 6 to keep him fresh, and who knows one of the young guys might end up keeping him out of the side like Barrass/McKenzie.
