Is trade time the most depressing time of the year to be a 'Coaster fan?

Is there any correlation between Roughies health and the Vickery play by the Hawks?
Possibly some, but Ceglar going down with a knee injury probably has more to do with it

I think their is a small correlation. I don't think Roughead gets back.

Why is it a depressing time? I don't understand this, just last year we landed some great players in Redden and Jetta, sure they had a poor year, but we were very active.

It's like people expect us to do more than the 17 other clubs combined...
It's like the just kick it supporters

"Just kick it FFS"
followed by
"Why'd you kick it there for"

Except it's

"Just do a trade FFS"
followed by
"Why'd you get him for"

2015 trade period was a delightful aberration. We typically don't do that much. Hopefully Jetta and Redden fire in 2017.

I forgot about Ceglar going down. I have erased that game from my memory banks.

He approached the club saying he wanted to come home.

I wasn't aware that he had only re-signed a 5 year deal in 2014. So, two years into it and after arguably one of his best years for him certainly and for the club in the last 3 or 4 years, and repeatedly saying how great it has been playing under Bolton, he is suddenly home sick and wants out?

Some transparency on how they calculate the compensation would be nice. It's the seemingly arbitrary nature of the whole thing that shits me.

Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
Its perfectly transparent - teachers pets get good compo. Interstaters bar expansion get sfa.

What could be simpler

LOL! I've just done something WEIRD - Essendon posts ending up here.

Don't mess with stuff on the fly, Chief! Just don't!

Damn Gibbs had his best ever season and now he wants to go to Adelaide. Admittedly he's from SA but, why cant we pull good mids?
Gibbs turns 28 next year - time is ticking down on him having a crack at success and Carlton are still rebuilding whilst Adelaide are right in the mix as a contender. Add in the go home factor and it's hardly surprising as Adelaide would have been in his ear since the day he was drafted.

We generally get 1 or 2 guys - Yeo, Wellingham, Cripps etc.

I understand we're not big players with trades, but at the same time we don't stay down long to be getting too many top picks to play around with either...

Vickery is a crab, not a fish

Hawthorn still have to come up with trades for Mitchell and O'meara so neither of those are over the line by any means

And they're losing Hill and possibly one or two other players to meet the above trades

agree about vickery, but its more about how active they are being during the season.
vickery might not work out but it doesnt cost a trade and least they are being proactive.

knowing hill wanted to go back home they got on the front foot to find replacements,
we arent even that proactive in smoothly replacing our coaching staff.

they've been good enough to get mitchell and o'meara to say they want to go to the hawks and we know that always means it gets done.

tom mitchell is exactly what we need and we dont even seem to be putting pressure on hawthorn.

Fixing now - talk as normal.

FOr some reason system did not drop the selected posts from the Essendon thread move.

Righto m8, ur done, bye.

why dont we do the same with WA boys?
adelaide have obviously been smart enough to get him to change his mind almost overnight.

unless we are the most secret club in the league, we never show any signs of flexing muscle.

Second ruck is one of the most important positions on the ground.

I can see why we are prioritising this

if we are 'prioritising' a ruckman and putting all our eggs in that basket and the best solution we can come up with is drew petrie then we are well and truly ****ed
