And Vardy for some steak knives then you would be hard pressed to find anyone unhappy with our 2016 offseason.
Why can't we offer this peanut 800k to join our coaching staff in 2018? Why do we need him to stink it up on the field in 2017? Why allow the Hawks to get a younger and far stronger list?

This is a sad sad day. Where is Ochre to make sense of all this!!!

Mitchell will improve the culture of the club a lot and has so much to teach our younger players like Sheed and Duggan.

Since we lost Cousins and Judd in the one year, we've become a club that's looked good at times but never managed to go on with it. Basically the opposite of Hawthorn.

Lol, 5 minutes into the first quarter of round 1 nab challenge next year he'll have won you over.

Mitchell won me over a long time ago

Have always liked him as a footballer. Stoked that he'll be spending time at our club.

I wonder if our boy Sammy is a little annoyed at the Hawks about it all.

Sounds like ol Clarko pursuaded (read: gently pushed) Mitchell to make the move early.. you would think he wanted to finish out his career at the Hawks as a one club champ and then take up the WCE offer. Especially since he only recently signed an extension.

Now Hawks get something in return for losing him (get nothing if he retires) and free up cap space. I reckon if T.Mitchell stayed at Sydney then S.Mitchell stays at the Hawks.

Sneaky Clarko is sneaky.

Why is Hawthorn's reigning best and fairest and a 2015 All Australian going to stink it up on the field next year?

I, for one, welcome Daniel Chick Sam Mitchell with open arms.

Some cut up folks over on the Hawks board. Must be a big blind-side to them - you would have just assumed Sam would finish up a 1 club man.
