There is no need for this.

We all know your thoughts on the Rumour Thread & some of those who post in it, but I think now is the time to give it a rest. At the end of the day it is not up to you to determine what can & can't be posted in here, nor should you be attacking those who post rumours in here, or those who choose to read the rumours. You are spoiling this thread for others with your protests. You clearly don't like the content of this thread, so it is best that you steer clear of the thread, as no rules are being broken by those who choose to post rumours in here.
I am just going to put it out there. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just so we are clear then, both you and Aph are by your actions as mods condoning the posting of material that could end up in litigation. You condone and encourage the posting of defamatory material such as the post I highlighted where the outcome of a young persons medical exam was either leaked or fabricated, you choose, equally damaging. This is the position you are taking. Am I clear on that? And if so, is it open slather then coz I have some juicy ones about certain players shall we say extra curricular? No I didnt think so, but you sure do like to play to your constituency dont you?

No, I clearly understood your original post.
Well Knobhead let's see if you did.

While it's expressed in very intellectual terms it doesn't make much sense. If you have misinterpreted what you wrote, then perhaps you could clearly articulate what it is that you want to say.
Why don't you try isolating the bits you admit do not make much sense to you (which contradicts your first sentence posted above, so well done you).

It is important that we get to the bottom of this. So, I clearly understood that you had three key points, and your three points were: (a) someone refusing to sign a contract should in no way be interpreteted that they are thinking of leaving the other party
Perhaps you could quote where in any post I have made such a ridiculous statement. Hint: you won't because you can't.

(b) that Harker committed a character assassination on Rattan even though he was sacked midway through his contract because the club didn't want him
Well done Knobby, at least you got it half-right. Yes I said Harker committed character assassination on Rattan. I did not say nor is there any relevance to Harker's character assassination that Ratten was sacked. What perhaps you mean to say is that somehow Rattan being sacked by the club justifies Harker's character assassination. If so then Harker (or you) need to explain the logical connection. Unless you think that the Club would only sack someone mid-contract because of some serious imputation against the other party, in which case your opinion tells us much about you and nothing about Ratten.

(c) that if someone has their heart in the right place they will definitely be good at what they do
Again you have completely misunderstood what I was saying. I will help you. Here is what I wrote to Harker at 2726:

[Then you confuse your position by stating an elementary proposition that a good coach needs more than heart . . .]
Hopefully the highlighted parts of my post and your mischaracterisation will help you, though I am not optimistic.

If you have misinterpreted your own three points, (perhaps you could've have had four, or even five points) then please rephrase your original post so I can attend to your pending post.
Since your starting assumption is without foundation there is nothing further I can do to help you.

Enough! Harker said little more than someone being sacked probably has reason to be sacked. The rumours surrounding that are well documented on this forum and he said they may be false. I don't like the rumours, but they are part and parcel of celebrity. Are all the Hille jokes character assassination? The Gibbs ones? Milne ones? Why do you not go in to bat for them as well? Would it kill you guys to leave each other alone?

Currently in this post you have insinuated twice that Harker committed character assassination on a species of palm. As he did not, is that character assassination? Enough silliness.

Unbelievable...

Our role is not to determine what is defamatory & what is not. Posters are responsible for what they post on here & post at their own risk.

By all means if you want to post something you consider "juicy" go for it, as along as you are happy to accept the consequences that may arise from doing so.

At the end of the day I think you are trying to impose your version of what you consider to be kosher or not on everyone else. I really do wonder if BF is right for you.

Yeah, disappointed we missed out on Dawes and Moloney. Finals hopes for next year are well and truly gone now.
I certainly wasnt looking at it that way??? ;) I was more thinking of trading players for picks or chasing good young players like Caddy, Toy or Jacobs

You might be right, accepting as truth that which we know to be lies or that we know to most likely be lies and furthermore to thank them for it and encourage more lying.....not sure about your world, but in mine we dont reward or encourage fabricators unless its a house they are fabricating. Just sayin.

Wow! Is this all my fault?
Happy to take the medicine if so, but I don't think that will clear something that has an ulterior motive or a self serving agenda.
If someone really wants to take me to task on a matter, set up a separate thread and I'll kindly oblige.

Caddy:
Glad to see the end of that saga and personally happy we took our offer away.
Hope the North boys don't feel too aggrieved for not securing him.
Geelong and North had threads dedicated to Caddy that topped the 1500 post mark. What a gun!

Ah thats not quite true now is it. He said that Ratts was to blame for some players getting 2 year contracts, when a) where is the evidence that Ratts did this when General Manager of football is usually empowered to negotiate contract lenght, and b) who says them having 2 years is a problem let alone a mistake.

There are enough lies in here without you rewriting a history that a) took place a mere hours ago and b) is there for anyone who cares to look back and read for themselves.
