I might make myself unpopular here but I seriously can't believe this talk of a second rounder for Ellard. Do some people think the recruiters at other clubs are on drugs? If anyone gives us anything like that for Ellard, I will give it away. Frankly, I don't think there would be any interest at all. As for Curnow, easy decision for mine - Curnow or Bell? Bye bye Ed
The man speaks sense.

There are certain players that can play a role for a club. Usually good honest hard workers that can play the role when given the chance but are worth next to nothing on the trade table.
Davey Ellard is one of these.

For an opposition example, maybe refer to Shane Edwards (who had a great year).
Would you give our 2nd pick? No

Mate I can't believe the stupidity of some people saying Dawes would be a good get. Seriously you guys are either on drugs or taking the piss. One or the other. Lol I'd rather take the dog.
You know who looks bad in that clip? - Figjam looks bad - laughing at his own player - ovbviously given the game up..like the littel figjam he is- I loved watching the wobblers implode.
As for Dawes- I have seen every one of our players make awful boo boos - so what ? everyone does at one time or another..
at 250K - he would be a good pick-up. The amazing thing about 'form' is that it is mostly in the head of the player- he has shown he can be very very good at his best. Young enough to play a role - not a match winner - but can play a very good role for us.

A couple of things....

1. No way Dawes finds himself at Carlton. Collingwood very rarely trades with us at the best of times. After appointing MM and going after Cloke there is no way in hell they'll be dealing with us (if we are even interested that is).

2. Isnt this 2012 draft the one many have been calling the 'super draft' for the last couple of years? If so and the calibre of kids is so high, why would we consider trading our first rounder for Caddy?

3. Waite, Mitchell, Casboult, Hampson, Henderson, Jamison, Watson, McCarthy, McInness etc and we want more KPs? Give them time I say. Much rather some midfield depth (without giving away our pick 11).

It would definitely be a super draft if there was no mini draft and no father sons

1. O'Meara (GWS)
2. Daniher (GCS)
3. Whitfield (Melb)
4. Crouch (Melb)
5. Macrae (WBD)
6. Grundy (WBD)
7. Viney (Port)
8. Toumpas (Bris)
9. Wines (Rich)
10. Plowman (Ess)
11. Stringer (Carl)
12. O'Rourke (StK)
13. Vlatusin (Mel)
14 Mayes (North)
15 Garlett (Geel)
16 Shaw (Fre)
17 Membery (WestC)
18 Anderson (Coll)
19 Garner (Adel)
20 Jacksh (GWS)
21 Lonergan (Haw)
22 Menzel (Syd)

Every pick is really 4 spots lower than it should be already, but it will still be a strong draft.

could the dogs use an experience ruck? we should try and trade our 1st pick + warnock for pick 6 and have an agreement with the dogs that if whitefield slips to 5 they need to pass on him. rated as the most complete player in the draft

Couldn't see the dogs agreeing, but would take it in a heartbeat.
