I am happy to put my hand up.

I am 33yo, 6'1, 93kgs, dodgy shoulders, have a heath scotland style bald spot but can kick straight. Happy to sign a 2yr deal @ $200k a year.
Sorry mate, but that's not enough.

Unless you have a beard. Here at Carlton all non-beards is spuds  #starry

I'm easy either way as to whether we trade 11 for Caddy. Caddy is a good player, and I'm sure we'll draft a good player with pick 11.

Could be accepting of Gumby for a 4th rounder, but nothing more than that.

I'm thinking when it comes to straight marking Levi is every bit as proficient as Cloke.

I may have got a little carried away suggesting Levi was a better mark than Cloke.

Cloke is a great mark but part of that is he is good body-on-body and out-muscles guys and stands up in the contest. You see a lot of occasions where the pack sort of collapses around him and he is left standing their holding the ball in the air.

For pure running straight at the ball or hitting a pack, the cameos I have seen from Levi suggests to me he is right up with the best in the AFL - or at least let's say has the potential to be up with the best. Any forward who saw those pack marks he took against the Bulldogs will tell you how hard they are and his hands were like a vice.

GC could send Caddy to St Kilda for a laugh. ;)

Geelong would be a club whose leaders could straighten out someone who has tickets on themselves.

Which leaders are those > -Scarlett , Ling, Milburn ?

Geelong aren't the same team they were and to be honest reckon they are getting a little desperate down at Cat land.

Looks like we are out of the race for Caddy:

JOSH Caddy is open to joining Geelong, St Kilda or North Melbourne after meeting with all three clubs, with the Cats in the strongest position to secure the 19-year-old Gold Coast onballer with its remaining Gary Ablett compensation pick.

Were we even in it? Disappointing that we seem to not even be on potential recruit's shortlists........

Culture!

It would have rubbed off on their young players just like did it with Laidler who was mentored by Milburn, Scarlett, etc.

Selwood alone would be a more vocal leader than our A graders.

We wish we had Geelong's culture.

They still have Kelly, Chapman, Selwood and younger guys like Duncan, Hawkins and Mackie.... they're fine. They know about winning, they know about playing for the team, etc.

The only thing the Cats are lacking a bit is young blue-chip prospects... which is to be expected after the run they've had. Not many early picks for a while. Even then, they do not seem to miss very often with their picks. Duncan, Menzel, Christensen, Motlop, etc are all quality young players.

It's Christian name rorting plain and clear but the AFL do nothing about it. Eddie rules.
They put 'em both in the middle and cover them with tatts in the hope Vlad can't tell them apart. He thinks they have just one guy who is a superstar and plays 145% of game time. No need to investigate that.

Port Adelaide looking at the possibility of facilitating a trade with Carlton in order to get Jordan Russell across. While they have been linked to a number of free agents the thought is that they are unwilling to jeopardize their compensation for their outgoing FA's.

LOL @ the AFL.com.au's Trade Radio slogan "Where journalists go to get their news." Should BigFooty sue for false advertising?

Oh didn't know that. So if Essendon get Goddard but no one leave via FA, do they get away with it?

3rd round for Russell?

At the very worst, if Russell walks as a FA (and we don't pick up any FAs and nobody takes T-bird), we will get a 3rd rounder after our pick. Probably more likely to get an end of 2nd rounder, so I'd expect to give PA the leg up, they'd need to do better than their 3rd. Perhaps our 2nd and Rusty for their 2nd

I think we'd get a second round for Russel and THornton going, so i'd like a second rounder
Interesting ploy by PA and not dumb, however, as far as Carlton is concerned they would need to acquire compensation that is commensurate to what the FA formula will provide us should he be acquired under FA rules. And considering some of the early picks that were received as compensation for a few spuds, I would expect PA 3rd round pick is appropriate (pick 48 at this stage)

Would you guys be interested in Gibbsy, pick 11 and pick 52 for Tippett and pick 19.
I think this is pretty fair but I can't see it happening since the GC will offer more money than us and he will pick them

Russel is worht morre than a 5 spot raise in the draft.
If somethign like that were to happen.
I'd hope for
Carlton Russel + #33 > Port Adelaide #28?? + #45?? (not too sure what their picks are, something around there)

May also fail to get up on account of us not expressing an interest in Tippett, confirming numerous times that Gibbs will not be traded, and being a lop sided trade of membership card microwaving proportions.
