With Hutchy reporting that mark seaby is meeting with port today, do port have enough currency to land both seaby and Ebert? Would require giving up pick 8 or a player I would have thought to get both.
Seaby wouldn't have huge currency, would he?

Second rounder or equivalent I would've thought...

I guess they're hoping to use 29 for seaby and 33 for ebert? Or vice versa.

Good luck to them if they can
If they get Ebert for less than Seaby, WCE should feel violated.

If Seaby is worth a pick in the 20's then so is Maric.

Agreed.

.

Yep.

The problem for port is 6 is too much and 29/33 is too little.
I don't think they have any players they are willing to part with that West Coast would want...

It's funny because pick 24 is about right for him I reckon.....

Plus Seaby > Maric IMO.

I agree and there's the problem. If port get Seaby for 29 then where are we at with Maric? 37 would prob be about right. That's where we're going to have to throw in a bit extra if we want more.

In unrelated news it seems that Melbourne wants to go all out to get M.Clark. Freo might miss the boat on this if they are not careful. If Brisbane get Pick 12 I wonder if this would affect us?

Port can easily trade Pick 6 to GWS for say Picks 9 and 25.

Reading the Port board, they seem to be thinking:

Ebert - 29, but likely to need a little more (maybe a lower pick)

Seaby - third round pick

Well, yes, just depends on what they are after really.

If they wanted Seaby desperately and didn't want to give up any players, they'd try something like this.

Not so easily if the rumours about the interest in Goddard are true. Terry Wallets seems to think it would need to be two top ten draft picks as part of that trade. Not sure if that is what GWS would be willing to give. Until that is sorted out, Port could try and test the waters with GWS but it seems it would have to wait on discussions between Saints and GWS.

Terry Milera to the Saints as a pre listed GWS player in a deal with picks,
I wonder if that will give brother Tim a kick up the bum - who has decided to move back to Adelaide {the place not the team!].
