News Trade Week Thread.

First off not too sure if there in a main thread dedicated directly to just this week. There are a few rumour threads though.
Just thought i start off with todays murmurs involving WCE.

Apparently Freo don't have the picks to accomodate the Lions for Mitch Clark he definitely wants to return to W.A thus making the Eagles front runners.

Another rumour is that Geelong would except Ben Mackinley for Joel Corey as a direct swap.

No news on Krakouer except GC have picked him and being linked to the Magpies.

1149: Trade murmurs: Mitch Clark's manager Colin Young has just said that the Brisbane ruckman is homesick and that wants to head home to Western Australia. With the Lions looking to free up room in their salary cap, Clark has apparently told the club he is happy to move on. He has been linked to Fremantle, however Young is doubtful the Dockers have a pick that is high enough for the Lions to do a deal. But Clark is clearly unhappy so a move to West Coast or a Victorian club (maybe Carlton or St Kilda) is definately a chance. One to keep an eye on this week.

That would get the deal Done but I think you could drop the pick (26) and it would still get done. But I dont think he wants to play for us TBH and would rather stay at Brisbane then come to us.
Freo dont have the picks to secure him imho or the players unless they give up Palmer + fist pick 20 iirc then maybe possible.

Agree- As for Corey, I doubt it. With Ablett gone they wont want to lose another midfielder of his experiance and ability let alone for a Forward with no defencive ability. I would say if anything Duncan for Mckinley + 28 would be more likely.

for those looking at Clark - what role do you see him playing?

We already have 2 ruckmen - and Clark is an average forward at best.

Our clear deficiency is the midfield - this is what we need to build.

I'd give up four for Rich - not for Clark

I'd rather keep Mitch Clark tbh.

But pick 4 and 26 would have to be in the equation, with a pick coming back your way (not 10, maybe 15 if we get it for Brennan)

Daniel Rich would be a great pickup if the Eagles could make it happen. NicNat tapping it down to Rich, who passes it onto the chest of Kennedy. What a combo!
