Would swap Clark for Cox in a second. Clark may not be as good a ruckman - although if he could return to last year's form that is debatable - but his youth and ability to pinch hit forward make him more valuable.

The thing is, Corey is a walk up start to the best 22 and would be playing from round 1 ( if not injured ) and McKinley is pure rubbish and wouldn't be playing next year so the call is easy even if Joel is 28 this year.

Yeah, not sure about that. I like Cox being a mentor and teacher for NicNat while still playing at AA level for the next 3-4 years. Clark's ability as a forward is overstated too. It's also good to have a champion play his whole career at one club, and things like that should be encouraged. I'd want a top 5 pick for Cox, and I wouldn't give that for Clark.

Coxy has not been playing at AA level for the past 2yrs let alone playing at AA level for the next 3 - 4.

The fact that they are not letting him trade away pick 4 this year does not take away from the fact that they have not made him make any significant changes to his playing list, game plan, tactics or man management style in the last 4 years despite very average results.

What a dumb statement. We need Cox to teach NicNat do we? Have you heard of coaches? Teaching young players is what coaches do for a living.

I agree that the poster was over rating Coxs' importance but on the bolded bit I thought 2007 & 2008 were in the last 3-4 years? No?
