I am a Melbourne supporter & it is going to many years before we are ready to challenge for finals and then hopefully a premiership.
Bailey said that he wouldn't give up our first three draft picks that we have but I'm sure he would be open to the idea of trading picks 17 & 19 or one of them along with a player to boost ourselves higher into the first round.
For example:
We trade pick 17 & Green or Bruce to either Brisbane, North or Adel.
in return
We gain pick 7(Bris), 9 (North) or 10 (Adel) along with a third round selection being 41(Bris), 43(North) or 44 (Adel).
We get an earlier 1st round pick along with a mid range 3rd round pick, to go with our priority of getting young talent
They gain a late 1st round pick, a very good versatile established player in their quest for premiership glory who has at least 3 - 4 years left in them.
Any thoughts??

See in this trade Melbourne win, and everyone else lose.
Knights for rusling. ??

Griffen would be my player of choice as he is better than anyone we have in the midfield.
I would definitely trade Rutten if it meant getting Roughead though.
why do we want to all of a sudden trade rutten after one bad year? isn't he one of the best full backs? was he not All Australian? Is he not one of our most solid players?
I can't understand why we would want to get rid of him. Yes roughhead is good but we should look at other options if any.
that supporter was probably me. I still stand by my decision. Green likes to play like the lose man in the backline or something like what mcleod does which would be good because mcleod does not have much left in him. green is also capable of going into the midfield and the forward line. he has kicked a few bages of 2 goals and 3 this year which would be good because adelaides midfeilders do not kick enough goals. he is also a strong mark.Well I threw it up for discussion. In the AFL Draft & Trading Forum, there is an Adelaide supporter who would trade Green for pick 10 in a straight swap.
I thought it was fair trade that is why I threw it up. You don't think it is.
I'll wait to see what other crows supporters think

I would do that trade in a heart beat. I don't think the Crows coaching staff would though. That is why I think this is alot fairer:
Crows Gain: Brad Green & Pick 17
Dees Gain: Picks 10 & 44
I think that is alot fairer to both clubs than a straight swap of Green for Pick 10. You seem to be the only one interested though
why on earth would we want green we don't ****ing want him! nor do we need him we will be keeping pick 10 so you can just forget about it!
Don't want Cleve Hughes. Soft on the field and a derro off it. Jericho >>> Cleve Hughes.
Griffen would be my player of choice as he is better than anyone we have in the midfield. Cooney goes missing in the big games. Butler or Hurn could be worth a shot but are not worth giving up 1st round draft picks.
As far as forwards go, Hawthorn have a glut of them. Boyle is not as good as Stevens so don't want him. Roughhead, Thorp or Dowler would be great but we'd have to give up the world for Thorp or Roughead in particular. Dowler could be worth a shot though. I would definitely trade Rutten if it meant getting Roughead though.
I would trade our first pick for Hurn
a prime reason why you should not be allowed to make such decisions then.
big bag of meh for hurn.
3rd that.As he said![]()
