I would do that trade in a heart beat. I don't think the Crows coaching staff would though. That is why I think this is alot fairer:

Crows Gain: Brad Green & Pick 17

Dees Gain: Picks 10 & 44

I think that is alot fairer to both clubs than a straight swap of Green for Pick 10. You seem to be the only one interested though

shopping Green around deserves a red IMO........

we already have plenty of "absolutely nothing" at West Lakes thanks very much.....

Brad Green.....pfft....

Of course he has value for all the reasons you mention.

Roughead is better than good! He has kicked a swag of goals this year (yes he is on the 2nd best defender but he also gets less supply due to Franklin).

I would easily give Rutten and pick 10 for Roughead...in a heartbeat.

why the hell would we trade rutten for roughhead. who is going to play full back then u idiots.

anyway roughhead is definatly not worth rutten and pick 10. Hawthorn would take a straight swap everyday of the week such is how valuable rutten would be for them.
i think we can all give up on the idea of getting a proven key forward in this trade week. we will get nothing or a young forward who has struggled but has been seen as having potential i.e. hughes, meyer, dowler and evan than we will probably be very lucky

Owwww Micky getting into it now hey!!

But seriously; I would kill myself if they were to do that!

Perhaps a little over the top, but I would love to see Waters and Hurn in the tri colours, definately give us the hardness we are lacking

And FTR after reading my post I realised I meant to write Hurn AND WATERS....

Wow, why do I feel like a jackass:eek:

not only would I trade Rutten and pick 10 for Roughead everyday of the week, i would invent new freaking days just so I could the deal more than 365 times a year!!!!!!!

It's hard to express just how much I might pay for Roughie should he be available.

Rutten & pick 10 is not pants down time, its life long membership to a nudist aerobics colony. :)

Probably wouldn't happen, but what would you all think of:

Adelaide gain: pick 4 and Thomson from Port
Collingwood gain: Reilly from Adelaide and pick 22 from Port
Port gain: Johncock and pick 30 from Adelaide, and Didak from Collingwood.

Net effect for us: pick 4 and Thomson for Reilly, Johncock, and pick 30.

1. Collingwood get abused in the woods on that one
2. we need didak.
3. Thomson has little value, so pick 4 costs us Reilly, Johncock + 30?
4. see point 1

not very good.

Pick 4 costs us Johncock + pick 30. Reilly costs us Thomson, which, tbh I don't think is unfair. Reilly has a heart the size of a pea and never gets on the park anyway.

Port get Johncock and Didak, but no pick in the draft until 30.

Collingwood do get screwed a bit I agree, and I don't think they would go for it. But apparently they rate Reilly, and given that their first pick in this draft won't be until at least 11, they might be in the market for an early second rounder? I wouldn't imagine Collingwood would do it, but I think it's pretty fair from a Crows and Port point of view. I don't think Collingwood will put Didak up for trade anyway, once all is said and done.

Reilly has more talent in his little finger than thompson in his whole body

I'd be over the moon if I were Port

Crows - Resounding NOOOOOO

Port - Resounding YESSSS

And yeah Collingwood are all talk, they were never intending to trade Didak, its all for show, so they look like they are doing something.

Collingwood get screwed a LOT.
Thomson has very little value, nothing like Reilly's. nothing.

Not fair from the crows, not fair from Collingwood, and a great win for Port.

nothing like a lose/screwed/win trade to herald in the trade week sillyness.

awful.

Oh dear...you should be very careful calling others idiots after writing that:eek:

You do realise Roughead is the 2nd best young forward in the game? Practically priceless.

For full-back you can try Stevens or Moran, Kite when he beefs up...but in the end if a FF is giving us a touch up then Bock can go back (as he did against Franklin anyway).

FB is a very attacking position for the right player...look at Scarlett.

If it meant getting Roughead I'd be more than happy to put Bock back when required with Stevens/Moran at CHB.

In the end, the loss of Rutten may cost us 2 goals a game on average (and i think that's being generous) but at the other end we gain 4 goals a game (Roughead + the players he brings into it)

Mate they can take Rutten, pick 10 and Reilly or Knights as well!!!

isn't Brad Green like, their second best player behind Bruce.
yeah he is.
here r some stats to compare him to a few adelaide players

kicks handballs disposals marks tackles goals effective disposal
Green 13.55 9.3 22.85 4.78 3 1 72.82%
thompson 13.13 11.04 24.17 4.96 4.74 .7 72.00%
van berlo 10.17 10.91 21.09 4.78 3.61 .35 72.32%
edwards 13.3 8.48 21.78 6.09 3.09 .83 75.09%
goodwin 11.83 8.52 20.35 5.22 2.68 1.43 74.14%

After all that i dont think Green looks so bad. His up there with our best midfielders. So all u people that think his a dud i would check again;)

I hope to god that you are not John Reid or any other person representing the Crows during the trade period!

Agree

We should also give up our first 3 picks for Joel Bowden because he scored 200 in the dream team.

For mine, only Bock and Porplyzia are untradeable.

Those who are also very close to untradeable are Vince, Mackay, Walker, Dangerfield, vB, Thompson, Tippett.

Completely and utterly forgot the Porps. No Bingo on Porplyzia either.

Agree with most of those players you listed but I'd trade Thommo if the price was right TBH

Sorry boys but Roughy is going nowhere. He has just signed on for another few years and when he was drafted with Buddy he was heard to say how great it would be to play with him, plus he also stated that he would take less money to be in a successful side.

Every man and his dog was asking about the availability of Roughy come trade week last year and get told to basically go take a long walk off a short bridge.

Don't forget Roughy is a No.2 daft pick is still only 21 and has kicked about 70 goals for the season. You may as well make him into a gold statue as this is what he is worth.

this place should get boarded up in the weeks before trade week.....

thinking before posting seems to be a thing of the past.....:(

2 established players for 1 draft pick - thank goodness others are doing our deals

Yes we know, but it's nice to dream!!

However may be willing to trade Mark Williams as have heard he does not get along well with Clarko - don't exactly see eye to eye.

We need another quality backman which you guys have plenty of would like the Bock Dog and don't sell Rutten short as i think he is still absolute quality.

I could see us bringing in Mitch Thorp next year which may solve our backline dilemma but he is more known as a forward.

Will trade Tim Boyle for a hotdog with sauce. If i push the deal i will hold out for cheese as well.
