Just a few names...not big ones just possible investments

Murphy. WHO?
Rosa. Dreaming.
Meesen. WHO?
DeLuca. Got to be kidding. Dud.
Charman. Dreaming.
Brennan. Why?
Longmuir. Which one? Both duds.
Le Cras. Won't get him.
Morton. Who?
Buchanan. Won't get him.
Grundy. Blah.
Malceski. Dreaming.
Sylvia. Dreaming.

Possible Outs (Trade or Delist)

Hall (keep him - insurance big man)
Hartigan (have to delist no one will want him)
Jackson (why get rid of him now when he's finally starting to play well?!)
Johnson (won't delist and no one will want him for trade)
McGuane. signed for 2 years
Knobel (dump)
Krakouer (gets a bum rap. watch closely and see all the little things he does - tackels, smothers etc. amazing hands. will kick 3 in a GF one day.)
Moore (How many chances does this DUD need to prove HE'S A DUD!)
Meyer (trade him to adelaide while they remember u/18 form)
Schulz (GIVE HIM A BLOODY CHANCE)

A Krakouer has been here long enough and he frustrates the supporter group and I think its time he goes to a better team. I like him but enough is enough.

Schulz is going no where he is on contract until the end of 2008.

Moore, one more year.

Meyer homesick, trade him

Johnson, dont trade captains

Jackson, saved his career the last couple of weeks.

Hartigan, trade, delist or put him on rookie list.

McGuane, a new contract

The only big name I'd take would be Reiwoldt or maybe Pavlich.

No midfielders please. Especially those 2nd string West Coast ones who only look good because the opposition are usually looking at Judd or Kerr the whole time.

I'm not sure if all this trading for draft picks will do us much good as our drafting record isnt all that great, Also everyone saying we want more youth at the club why??? dont we have enough? most teams we play we are giving up over 1000 games experience do you want to make that 2000?
I think we need to trade for a star forward/defender or 2 to at least stay competitive until our magical year of 2011 who knows we might actually play finals before then if we make the right trades esecially if we can pull a few more bargain deals like the simmonds and polak deals, This year is pretty much done for us so we will have a good 1st rounder to take good youngster and maybe a priority pick but from then on I'd be looking for a good deal with some of the other picks considering we have a lot of players that need to be moved on possibly for picks

who do we want?
and who should we trade?

one guy that could slot in really well at richmond is ryan murphy...he is a victorian and is out of favour at the moment so may not have to give up much...

i really feel a strong backman and another strong midfielder would make us a competitive finals team.

who do we think????

Murphy is rated VERY highly at Freo. You would have to give up Coughlan or a high first round pick.

Firstly, Murphy is absolutely no where near Coughlan's standard. Coughlan is a star and without his injuries he would be in the top 10 afl players atm.

Secondly, I think we should look for someone like a Sylvia at Melbourne. He is a tough in and under midfielder just like Cogs and i think we need a few more of those in our midfield to help out players like Cogs and Tuck.

I was reading on the Melbourne board that quite a few ppl want Brad Green to be shopped around and they would possible expect a 2nd round pick for him pretty good considering he can play midfield and forward i know we dont wanna offload any early picks but if i was in the situation id be very tempted

meyer and a 3rd or fourth rounder for green?

not sure if he is going to be of much use to a side like us though - he is cream on top kind of stuff - and we still need a cake!

LOL - first round pick my ass. we aren't you fella's hoogs - trading polak, pick 12 and medhurst for "punch a polli - spread your cheeks" tarrant LOL

Dont want Green. I want our own so no players from other teams. Its time to get our own :thumbsu:

i still wouldnt trade meyer

you dont sell low buy high, if he wants to leave just mention the number 1 pick in the psd and he will shit himself ala jordan russell last year

you dont let go of first round picks after 3 years no matter how crap they are, the people at the club should be doing their job and getting him up to standard not just giving up

Cousins, Judd, Pavlich, Riewoldt all told me they wanted to come to richmond.

Miller said we can only afford three of the above

Cmon Tambo, we've already got two of them.

Oops sorry, we got it the wrong way around - when you asked Greg Miller to get "Cousins Riewoldt", he thought you said "Riewoldt's Cousin" :D

Polak, pick 13 and Medhurst for Tarrant and Solomon.

Murphy was picked at pick 12 in the 2003 draft. We've developed him and he has shown enough to indicate his talent. Anything later than pick 10 and you're dreaming.

If anything Murphy's value has gone down since he's been drafted.

Also, Solomon was a seperate trade.

done coughlan for murphy sounds good to me.

It sounds to me that you have not seen Cog's play that often, but if you had, you would have noticed how good a player he is. Even on one LEG Cog's is a far better player than Murphy. Murphy is developing, but is yet to establish himself as a regular player in a Fremantle side that is still to deliver. So why would you trade a guy who is clearly a GUN for a developing player in a currently average side????? Santa claws and Hoogs, you need to get out more (see cog's play). And don't worry, he will be back putting opposition midfielders in his radar and putting them on their arse.:eek::eek::eek:

I know Murph well! he's a Traralgon boy and our parents are good friends so we grew up together in a way, we never went to the same school but we played against each other all through out juniors and even played in a couple rep sides together.

anyway back to what i wanted to say, Murph actually trained with the Tiges leading up to him getting drafted and by all reports they were very keen on him, but he went alot earlier then thought.

Tiger supporter as a kid and is a brilliant set shot at goal! Would relish in the Tiger line up IMO but i know the Dockers hold him in high regards over there so his name most likely will not be thrown around during Trade time.

The tige's should go after Brisbane's Jamie Charman.... imagine him and Simmonds working in tandem, either could play CHF or CHB..... a PSD bargain.... Wallace has already stated his interest in Charman....maybe

I think we need tough strong running defenders that have great foot skills but can stop there man as well as show some physical presence. We have both bowden and polak who are great across the half back and rebound well but we need some tough nuts who can do the job on small forwards ie Daniel Pratt that hardly gets anything kicked on him and gets 20 pos a game.

I have it on good authority that Greg Miller was in Adelaide on the weekend watching John Meeson play.

They are RUCKMEN. ruckmen cannot play CHF or CHB.

An ideal scenario would be trading Krakouer and our third round pick to Port for their second round pick & gaining Meeson or another young 21-22 year old ruckman to develop through the PSD thus not having to trade away a pick/player. That would give us 4 picks in the top 25-30 of the draft, a promising young ruckman and suddenly we would have (hopefully) added a fair bit of young talent to our already promising list of youngsters.

So, what you're implying is that Woosha is as incapable of getting any more out of anyone on the Richmond list as you believe Plough is.
Well, which players are we talking about?

I can't see us chasing a mediocre Tiger in the belief that he will miraculously become a good player at WC.

That might be how Richmond trade, but WC are a bit more pragmatic.
