1) Not a chance in hell, Woey is worth more than Leigh Brown.
2) Robbo is not worth those 3 Port players.
3) Neitz and Broadbridge are worth more than Kane Johnson, Laurence Angwin and a draft pick, Neitz will not be traded, and where do you pull this crap from?
4) Yeah, get a young tall in the draft, as a first round pick, let him mature at Sandy, and then trade him for a first round pick.... Makes sence

Dunno why youd do that....Woewodin is a good mifielder, Brown is average

2) Trade Robertson to Port Adelaide for Micheal Stevens, Paul Koulouritis, and Matthew Bishop

Not a chance. We've already got two flashy but inconsistent forwards in Dew and C@ckatoo Collins...plus another possible flashy and inconsistent forward in Allan Murray. No deal.

3)Trade Neitz, and Broadbridge to Adelaide for Kane Johnson, Laurence Angwin, and 1st rd pick

Broadbridge is a Port boy so give us him and we'll give you Kouloriotis and Michael Stevens.

Could've said that about Montgomery too, Macca. Robertson needn't play full-time forward.

Theres no way WOEWODIN, ROBERTSON, NEITZ would be going. But i wouldn't care that much about Broady or Molan.
Robbo has been offered as trade bait before, so there's no reason why he won't be again. Woey is not an untouchable, if we get offered a decent CHF for him, we would probably take it. Your thinking more about who is your fav players here.

Broady could be traded, but we won't get anything near what he is worth. We would be stupid to trade Molan after one year. Especially since he sustained an 8 week injury. Over the next 1-2 years he will come into the side, and help by adding height to our side.

If we traded Molan we would be stupid. The guy will be very good for us, just a shame he broke his lower leg.

I wouldn't have a problem at all with Roobertson going. Get someone more consistent than him. I agree also with Woey not being untouchable, and he might be offered up (Freo for Pav?) but who knows.

And Broady aint going anywhere either. Star of the future that one! :D

I think you know none of them will happen, but if were looking at trading we need to find a CHF/CHB and/or a small crumbing midfielder. Obvious options are Carey and Lucas for CHF. Carey isn't worth what theyre asking, IMO. I think Lucas could be good, despite me not being his biggest fan. He will never be a superstar but if we could get him, he'd fit perfectly into our forward set up. Plays a similar role to Schwarta in that he roams the forward line instead of playing as a genuine tall, so the transition should be easy.

Our backs seem OK now that Lamb has stepped up. If Nicho can come up for the start of next year and Ellis can stay injury (and report) free, I think our backline is alright. Otherwise, it might be worth looking at someone like Aaron Henneman who's finding it hard to get a game with Essendon where Fletcher, Wellman, Barnard, Jacobs and Bolton are stealing his game time.

I think someone who could be REALLY good is Cupido from Brisbane. He is a Headland from a couple of years ago waiting to step up and could be the answer to our crumbing forward problems. He's worth at least a 2nd round pick and if I was at the club I'd be going after him priority. Otherwise, we could look at someone like an Eagleton who would go for cheap, but could be handy.

Another one is Brendan Lade from Port. He's also not getting much game time with Primus, French, Brogan, Tredrea and Cornes taking ruck and forward roles off him. He could be another option for CHF or even as antother back up for White and Jolly in the ruck. Clark Keating from Brisbane is in the same situation. Both are quality players struggling to get a game in quality teams and would be VERY good pick ups.

Another option could be Ronnie Burns. Seems to be out of favour at Geelong and at his best can be as good as Farmer was. I still think we lack a good crumber. Vardy, Green and Robbo are all medium sized, marking forwards. All could play up the ground as well if given the chance, I reckon.

That is an option, but do we truly need another incosistent forward? I have no doubts of the mans talents, but I don't know if his services are required at Melbourne, especially if Robbo and the like are still here next season.

Ronnie isn't worth the trouble IMO. He will be 30 next year, is on what is most likely a big contract, and is in very poor form. He wouldn't be in our best 22 if he was on our list at the moment.

I reckon he's just getting a bit stale at Geelong. At his best he'd easily fit into our best side. Didnt realise he was that old, though. Forget about him, then.

We should really look at Cupido and either Lade or Lucas.

As much as we need a CHF and possible a crumcing forward, does anyone think Melbourne will trade aggresively to get what they need?

When big players are out of contract, we never really approach them at all and it seems that we are just too reserved when it comes to trading. I suggest we take a risk and do something to fill the gap that Schwarz has left at CHF. Someone who can mark, is mobile and who is strong.

I'd like to see us have a real dip at Carey, at Lucas and at others like Lade. I'll be annoyed if we don't!

Spot on. We've always been too conservative, whether its drafting players, dealing with the AFL or anything.

I'd love us to have a go at Carey as well. Notice that every side needing a CHF has been mentioned as a possibility apart from us?

We've always been soft come draft time. Dont know if you can remember a few years back when Darren Gaspar was on the market. We were front runners for him, but elected to go with Craig Nettlebeck instead to save a bit of money when money wasnt even an issue.

I do remember that, and we all know how Nettelbeck went....

It was never more evident that we need a CHF than today. We get enough of the ball, but where do we fall down? CHF!
