Just worked out that I can get to full premo team (S.Martin as F6) and have 9 trades. Pretty happy with that..

Jackson Merrett Mk2. Traded him in after 3 games played. Was playing midfield & averaging 103. He then proceeded to spud up in the midfield, the moved forward, then became sub fodder, then injured, dropped & then injured again. And of course lost money.

Big difference.

Martin is the ONLY ruck available for at least 6 weeks so there's lots of on ball time as well as being just about 1st picked every week. A few more years experience too

remember the Lions played both Luey and West at the start of the year so we can assume Leppa wants 2 rucks in his team
I don't have him but I think those who got Stef Martin will be fine, scoring will drop but he should play along with Luey

Trading Martin is ok if you're purely using him as ruck/fwd bench cover, but those planning on using him as an F6 or R2 for more than 1-2 weeks will be disappointed IMHO.

Difference is, Essendon had other midfielders.
