I'm using my trades early.
Second half of the year I won't use many... well at least that's the plan.
Making sure I set my team up with good balance between bye rounds so i don't have to use trades to fix that up.

7 to 8 upgrades to go. 2 down back, 2-3 in the mids and 3 in the forwards.

You're never truely out of it mate.
Your 10 premos could all be PODs and go on to average the most for their line from here on in.

I haven't given up yet.

I'm 7,322 overall and have faith in my trading (I'm a great trader most of the time minus Roughead out, Roughead in lol)

If I keep going along according to my upgrade plan I will give myself a chance at my strongest finish ever.

I seriously think this is the best team I have ever had in my SC career at this stage.

Going to need alot of luck though. This game requires alot of luck for sure.

I've been using both trades a week every week. Didn't do enough research early on and have become more and more addicted each round. My trades so far:

Round 2:
Cripps and Tippa in for Simpkin and Savage

Round 3:
Hall and Papley in for Jacobs and Rocky

Round 4:
Zaharakis and Jelwood in for Menadue and B Crouch

Round 5:
Byrne-Jones and Rance in for Wines and Papley

Round 6:
Gawn and Wagner in for Dea and Seedsman

Round 7:
Ward and J Smith in for M Crouch and Tippa

In hindsight I shouldn't have went with mid range combos with potential such Wines as Seedsman over proven premium and rookie combos like Jelwood and Papley.

Thanks. Team value is over 11.8 so I'm doing well in that respect. Was hoping the mid ranges would be a point of difference. Combining that with a bit of luck and a decent strategy for the bye rounds is the gamble I made to go for the overall. My lack of initial research has prevented me playing with the big boys. I'm still in it so I'll keep trading for the next few weeks.

Same problem as last year and have now learnt my lesson. Starting side will be based on stricter rules but not as many of them. Value over strategy. Too many SP's have let me down and there's nothing there but spud rookies to pick up the pieces. :rainbow:

I went from a similar possition last year to finsh 2400 but I don't think I'll have the same luck this time around.
