they change on their last 3 weeks averages so after round 3 if they played the first 3 rounds the average from teh first 3 rounds will be taken after that if they play round 4 the averages from rounds 2,3,4 will be taken

yes most people tend to sell off their younger players for proven players only some(rare) will be good enough to stay in people's 22 for the whole year

Yep that it's. Players price is based on a 3-game rolling average. For example, if you buy Geary for $94,200, and at the end of round 3 he has kepts up his average of 100+ he will then be worth $500,00+. You can then trade him for another sub-$100k player and pocket the $400k profit made. It is really the only way you can upgrade your team.
Also if you're looking to trading in an elite player (e.g. Chad Cornes who is $600,000+) it is often wise to wait until they either play a bad game, or Sydney for that matter because this score will effect their 3 game rolling average and lower their value for 3 weeks.

I don't think there is a right answer or a wrong answer.

For example Kennely is in the same price range as Mattner and Symes. If Kennely recaptures his early 2007 form he becomes a 500k-600k gun. Trading now uses one trade for some, trading later will cost 2 trades.

Its all up to the individual.

Negative.

If Geary averages 100+ he will go up to about 200k initially.

Use Walsey's website predictor thingy.

I encourage everybody to keep up all of this sideways trading. Will make it easier to fly past you all once things start to get serious.

Couldn't agree more with this. This idea of trading "like for like" based on one game's form is absolutely crazy, and a complete waste. Not to mention doing it before the teams are released. Trades have two key purposes, making you money, and spending that money to upgrade the mid-range types. These types of trade serve neither purpose.

I'm pretty sure they can only go up 100K at once?

I may be wrong, but I remember Westhoff went up EXACTLY 100K last year.

As the chances of coming first in the entire competition is highly unlikely thus the more meaningful result would be coming 1st in your league wouldn't you want to at least start your trades before round 4 where we start the head to heads and finish on top of the ladder? that's what i'm thinking of doing anywayz

If you aim to be the best in the entire competition, you'll obviously be the best in your league too:thumbsu:

BTW, i'll keep an update of how the players ive traded in/traded out are doing for the next few rounds to see if my trading is hurting or improving my team/scores :thumbsu:

even if you dont use your trades straight away.. its likely that you will get into the finals a top 8 performance isn't that hard even if you leave youru trades till later. it will just mean you have a poor start thats all but will do better later on. if you use all your trades and are going for a league win good luck not hitting an injury on your finals campaign

Players Out: Symes 76 and Hall 136 (212 points)
Players in: Franklin 74 Kennelly 34 (108)
To be fair though the ball was in sydneys forward line alot more than usual. (bringing Halls score up and kennellys down)

Kennely was tagged by K.Cornes which worked out great for me because Mattner was used more and racked up 116.
