cheers mate, try your hardest to figure the player. :D It may be what richmond needs to restructure the club. big name players i would include:

Brown- highly doubtful Gave to much up toget him and wouldn't be worth that nowRicho- Highly doubtful no value in trading him plus on veterans list

Sugar- Doubtful Captain enough said
Bowden- Possibility To many ties to the club, maybe though
Coughlan- Possibility Injury plagued and playing well, Value would be high and club might know more about his O.P and see it not getting better. Also form WA and we can play the missing home line.

Newman, Hyde and Krakouer may be other names, however they arnt 'big names' that supporters will be overly dissapointed in.

Whats Bowden's current contract? He's highly rated and would be at his prime for the best possible trade deal.

I think we need to trde for more picks.

He aint going no where. Sorry to destroy this delusional fancy your drifting into, but why the hell would we trade Coughlan? We're supposed to trade the crap midfielders like Tivendale, not our best.

He may not get over OP 2. we have no one else that would be worth a top 10 pick plus something else 3. He may want to go Home to WA 4. No-one should be safe. If the right deal was struck ( ottens trade for example)We're supposed to trade the crap midfielders like Tivendale, not our best.

Ok then. Tivs for a top ten pick?????????????? more like pick 57.

Top 10 pick and a second rounder or player.

Meaning its going to be tough to get that from Fremantle or wce if thats where we are targeting.... But to me the only players who are 'big named' who is a possibility to be traded is Coughlan or Bowden.

I forgot to mention Tuck. Highly doubtfull that the coaching staff / Miller and co would consider it.

Interesting times if this rumor is to be true however.

Trading Coughlan would be madness, (unless he was homesick).

Cogs, Tuck, Johnson are the foundations of a gun "inside" midfield with great hands feeding the ball out to Deledio, Tambling......

If he was homesick you would have to get an established gun under 25yo.

Trading for a top ten draft pick would be huge risk.

Did Ottens leave RFC b/c RFC thought he was injury prone, or was it Ottens that wanted to leave for change of scenery, fresh start etc?

Has Coughlan shown signs of OP recurrence since he was allowed to fully recover from it?
I'm pretty sure he has strung quite a few games together now since last out through injury?

I might be wrong.

The one reason i would consider it is because of the thing that is above his shoulders .

Word around the Campfire is he isn`t the sharpest tool in the shed ( have heard that many times from many different sources ) , so realistically that rules him out of having a big say in the leadership group . Apparently is very introverted and has bugger all to say about bugger all .

What worries me the most is the fact that he is best mates with Ty Zantuck ... still .... don`t know about the rest of you but there is an old saying i do believe in " Birds of a feather flock together "

Lets get it straight , the boy is a fantastic player but if someone walked in and threw the kitchen sink at us i would defineately consider it .

hmm see your concern there however I fail to see a viable deal that would have us consider the possibility. In reality, only a top 4 or 5 pick may tempt us and that simply wont happen. Beyond that, no-one will put up a player of comparable standard...it will be a bum plus draft choice which in my mind is not the kitchen sink

The Richmond Football club played Ottens in a corner by offering him LESS than what he was previously on.
In my mind the decision was to trade Ottens from the begining, Supporters would go ape ******** so they made Ottens out to be a " Money hungry player that showed no lyalty to the Club", where in fact he was basically demoted by a pay decrease from a club that had plenty of room in it's cap.I would expect Like everyone in the world and on this board, you live by what you earn. Ottens would have been finacially relying on being paid the same or more than what he was offered.
Geelong offered what he needed and he left.

give the man a cigar..spot on

I would love if cogs came to freo next year, but i can't see it happening
A) because richmond want him, and i was under the impression that he is happy in victoria.
B) freo have nothing to offer richmond.
You can have Polak and Medhurst if you want them. If you interested there is also Headland.

Gotta feel sorry for you guys on that one ... LMAO , what a fizzer he has been .

He would have to be the poster boy for the classic " Star third tier player in a gun side , when called up to the plate at a lesser club , watch the wheels fall off "

Cogs isn't going anywhere and he's not still best mates with Zantuck, I don't know where you clowns get your material
The only place Cogs would go is to WA and neither team need him, they all have more than enough midfielders

We're not stupid enough to trade away one of our best players in such a weak draft
Stop perpetuating this crap

ALL OF YOU!

WC have a good midfield. Our midfield isn't quite up there yet. I think we finished last in clearances. If we could fix that area of our game, it could go a long way to making us a contender. According to you guys, getting the clearance is where Cogs excells.

Ok a top 5 pick and Atkins from ther eagles? Three way deal Gardiner to the Pies?

Top 5 pick?
This years draft is considered the weakest in years. A top 5 or 10 pick may not cut it at AFL level.

Maybe Gas wants to go back home. There's not to many big names like you said. Who would we prefer to keep if it was either Joel or Mark its a tough choice to make.

A 'big name' player could be anyone. It could even be Krakouer or Tivendale.

No way Coughlan would be traded. If we trade Coughlan we are going backwards, we need his type and there would be no one to replace him and no one is worth getting for him.

Some of you supporters make me sick. At the beginning of the year you wanted him captain, when he was out of contract everyone wanted him to stay (he did and said he would never leave) and now you want him gone?

Why would TW trade away one of the Tiger favourites and have most Tiger fans against him?

Yeah, lets trade him now and show no faith in him.

Now is the time to stick behind the fella. He has showed so much loyalty to us, he had the chance to leave to head back home but chose to stay, now he is in probably the toughest par of his life, lets stick behind him and give him every chance to be a RFC premiserhip player :thumbsu:
