I'm pretty sure this is the case. lets just say port lose 4-5 players to FA this year? does that mean they get 5 additional picks in this years national draft from the AFL? (the comp picks for FA can't be banked, and have to be used in the same year they are received). If this was the case - the first round of the draft could finish at pick 35!?

They can use there compensation picks and forfeit there later picks ! If 5 players go 5 have to come in.

Rubbish. X man is the luckiest man in Australia.

His body was absolutely fked against Collingwood as he went up and down the race more times than Sam Newman on his wedding days.

His body was shot to pieces in the lead up to Prelim against the crows and yet we still played him. Was clearly injured against the Crows and had no influence.

In the grand Final by 8 minutes into the second qtr his body was shot to pieces yet again and in the end we were forced to sub him off becuase he could no longer run at all.

Whoever made the decision to keep playing the X should learn quick smart that you Do not play injured players in Finals.

X's game against Collingwood in the qualifying final was brilliant, do I need to bump the thread with all the glowing admoration?

Adelaide and Swans were both poor games, but you can't blame the selectors for having faith when he had produced on the big stage only 2-3 weeks earlier.
