Re: Trading Strategies for this week??

if u must do one of the two, trade 1 is better, however i would not do either trade as it is unnecacery. grey could come out and blitz it this week, just relax, its a long season

Re: Trading Strategies for this week??

My trade for this week will happen fri afternoon after the teams.,
Moore(pa) -> Peterson
tarrant(nm) -> Duncan

happy with everythig else but need some more cash from the foward bench

Re: Trading Strategies for this week??

Im am torn, want to get brown but unsure of the best way to go about it:

Trengove(Melb) ---> Howlett
Gray------> Brown

or

Clark to Kruez
Gray to Brown

Re: Trading Strategies for this week??

Is there any point in trading Goodes for J Brown? I know Goodes is a slow starter, but I think maybe the role change he's had has caused his SC value to drop a bit. I think he has started quite well just not scoring well.
Thoughts?

Re: Trading Strategies for this week??

What to do with David Hille... Hille to Seaby is very tempting...

Hille only needs 80 or so to break even on his price, and I feel he's due for one. With the amount of rucks under-performing, you'll be able to do a straight swap of hille for tippett/clark/jolly/fraser in a couple of weeks. While Seaby could struggle against a decent ruck department (he's only been against King and Maric so far). Never expected a huge score from Hille in his first game back, then he had to deal with the giant Sandilands.

Re: Trading Strategies for this week??

Going to make 3 trades before Round 4, it's SC you need to gamble a little.
Confirmed Clark>Seaby.
Masten>Judd (With cash from Seaby.)
Possibly Hall>Danger.

Don't forget Cox.

Will drop over $200,000 in the next few weeks according to tooserious.com.au. :thumbsu:

Has a break even of 251 or something like that this week! :p

Re: Trading Strategies for this week??

Need about 151k from a downgrade to go Hall -> Brown.

Kennelly or Tippett?

Kennelly I don't see as a keeper and is his value worth his average? I've got the Goose and Silvagni on the bench so I'm having no problems finding points.

If Tippett wasn't my only ruck backup (went with Lobbe and McCauley - didn't see any value in the ruck emergencies) he'd be thrown out the door in a heartbeat. I just don't want to see Sandi or NicNat go down and leave me high and dry.

Yeah big call though. kennelly is a proven performer so may be worth hanging onto. I have Warnock and Tippett in fwd line as mpp but have Clark and nic nat as my ruckman.

As I have Warnock as a back up I have been thinking of downgrading Clark to Seaby before his price drops and upgrading Tippett to Brown. But I am thinking that is a just a sideways trade and I am not really achieving anything, especially if Tippett and Clark bounce back to form. I would pocket some cash approx. $110K but is it really worth it?

As people in this thread have mentioned. Seaby has played against some ordinary Ruck combos and also don't forget brown has played two games at the Gabba (not against really good defenders). ??

I haven't decided yet but at this stage I may wait and see if Tippett and Clark rediscover there form this week.??

Re: Trading Strategies for this week??

Hi guys,

Trade Strategy 1

I'm thinking of downgrading one backline player out of below to Silvangi to free up cash. I'll be upgrading to J.Brown. Who do you think should go?

5. Hooker, C
Pts: 75 Avg: 80.50
$331,800
6. Kennelly, T
Pts: 69 Avg: 79.50
$320,700
7. Hunt, J
Pts: 74 Avg: 77.50
$252,300
23. Maguire, M (current sub)
Pts: 100 Avg: 87.00
$114,000
24. Waters, B (current sub)
Pts: 94 Avg: 86.00
$151,100

Who do you think should go? (Other backline players include Malcheski, Goodwin, Enright & Goddard.

Trade Strategy 2

I ended up benching Mitch Robinson this week $270000. Which turned out to be a good move. I could downgrade him to a higher performing rookie save $170000, then upgrade to J. Brown or ROK.

If you plan on having Goodes in your team at the end of the year (and you should), calculate whether you can afford to use two trades on effectively a sideways trade.

I think it's a bad trade. Brown is on fire at the moment but there are 20 rounds to go. Unless you're upgrading a midranger (Tippett is the popular option, but Hall and Medhurst may also be candidates) that you'd be upgraded at some point during the year anyway, I don't see the benefit in wasting trades getting rid of a keeper at this point of the year.

Re: Trading Strategies for this week??

I need help with my Midfield and Forward rookies, should i trade or leave them?

Midfield: Shuey & Jetta
Possible Targets: Banner,Moles, Bastinac, Howlett

Forwards: Gumbleton & Hitchcock
Possible Target: Peterson

Thoughts? Already used a trade Clark>Seaby

Re: Trading Strategies for this week??

Looking at doing.
Out: Hill, Harvey
IN: Seaby, Franklin.

Im happy with the cash cows i have, just really need to upgrade my rucks, they are really letting me down.

Re: Trading Strategies for this week??

Brown has had his best pre season ever, go the big fella....

Re: Trading Strategies for this week??

Definitely making one trade this week.

Ladson out for Malceski have to get on Malceski he looks really good.

And i want to get rid of Tippett.

Should i get Cyril or free up some cash and get a cheaper bloke.
Rob Murphy or Patrick Dangerfield?
thoughts..

Re: Trading Strategies for this week??

Option 1
Out: Cox
In: Kreuzer
Would bring my bank up to around 200k

Option 2
Out: Cox
In: Seaby/Jamar
Out: R. Roberts
In: Ballantine
Brings another consistent forward into my lineup, leaving Gumbleton and Andrew Moore on the bench.
Would love to get Kreuzer and Ballantine...unfortunately I'm about 2-3k short...

Option 3
Out: Cox
In: Seaby/Jamar
Out: Tippett
In: Brown (or whichever elite forward I can buy)
I don't really want to do this, as I think Tippett will be back in town against the Dees...it's definitely an option though.

I would wait another week to put Cyril in, he didn't play first round so won't increase till week after. But he has had a very limited pre-season so I would hold for a good month. Agree with Malceski, seems to have found his 08 form.

Re: Trading Strategies for this week??

If you guys had to choose. Who would go for from:

J.Brown, or
ROK

I will be making this trade late this week.

I'd personally go with O'Keefe. I haven't done any research into this, but with their styles of play, I just think O'Keefe would be a more consistent, pencil-in-110 type than Brown.

Re: Trading Strategies for this week??

Ball > Howlett
Tippett > Brown

Next week I hope to go Masten > Permium or Hall > Premium.

Re: Trading Strategies for this week??

Made 2 trades this week

OUT:
Clarke
Tippett

IN:
Seaby
O'Keefe

Why do people trade early in the week? Wait till Friday. What if seaby or ROK do a knee at training. Not worth the risk. They'll still be there Friday and at the same price (unless you dont have time to do it later in the week).

Had mates that have been burned by this. Pick a gun, only for them to tweak a hammy at training.

Re: Trading Strategies for this week??

I need to get Barlow in and am wondering who it is best to
trade out?

Ball: not what I had hoped for and would free up $346,000

Walker A: ave:54 $157,000 to upgrade with

Scully: good as bench player

Grateful for any help :thumbsu:

Def option 3 for mine :thumbsu:
